We are enormously grateful to all our volunteers. Your generosity of sharing your gifting and offering your time to care for patients and staff, is the bedrock of Chaplaincy.
Thank you for all you do, and also for being part of the wider team, we appreciate you all.

The Pastoral team CUH Chaplaincy is available for patients and family members. They give time and space to express worries and concerns. They are available to listen and support with treatment and planning for end of life.

To receive this service you do not have to be a person of faith, although many faith denominations are covered by the service. To access information about the team speak to your Cancer Navigator or a Cancer Support Advisor at the Information Pod on level 2 near Oncology & Haematology Radiotherapy

Creating an inclusive space for people of all faiths and none at CUH

Here at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH), our chapel is located at the very heart of Addenbrooke’s in the main concourse. We are looking to the future, and to develop our chapel space to ensure we meet the diverse needs of our staff, patients, volunteers, service users, visitors and members of our wider community. Our aim is to develop a space that is welcoming, accessible and inclusive – for the benefit of everyone. As part of the project we are holding a Facebook live on Monday 04th March 2024 at 9:30am. Please do join and share your thoughts, ideas and suggestions about the chapel space with us. Also a great opportunity to meet members of the team, ask any questions you may have about the project or the Chaplaincy service here at CUH!

For more information and to complete our online survey please visit our dedicated web page

We'd like to invite people from across CUH and the wider community to find out more about the project and share your ideas, feedback and suggestions about how we can develop and enhance our existing chapel space.

Creating an inclusive space for people of all faiths and none at CUH.

The CUH Project team would like to invite people from across our organisation and wider community to come along to our series of engagement sessions, to find out more about the project and share your ideas, feedback and suggestions about how we can develop and enhance our existing chapel space. We have a mix of in-person and online facilitated engagement sessions planned over the coming weeks, all of which will provide an opportunity for you to share what is important to you about our existing chapel space, and what ‘good looks like’ for you in helping us develop our vision for the future. CUH Chapel space development project:

Here at CUH we are committed to making our organisation as accessible, inclusive and welcoming as possible for all our staff, volunteers, patients, service users, visitors and members of our community. We are launching a new and exciting project, to look at how we can develop and enhance our existing chapel space. We want to hear your thoughts, feedback and ideas, as to how you would like to see this space evolve in the future.

Chaplaincy at Addenbrookes

As the Chaplaincy Team at Addenbrookes, we are here to meet the pastoral and spiritual needs of staff, patients and patients’ families, whatever your faith or background. We have a fantastic group of Chaplains, Admin Staff and Volunteers so please get in touch here or via our email address or phone line. Our Chapel is just off the concourse in the main hospital (just to the right of Costa!) and is open 24/7 for quiet contemplation or prayer of any tradition. It is a place of peace and sanctuary in the midst of our vibrant, busy hospital. We hold regular services, although these are suspended during the COVID-19 situation.
