A key part of our approach is creating safe spaces for open and inclusive dialogue.

These spaces give people the confidence to share experiences, ask questions and learn from one another -so they’re better able to find their way.

Safe spaces don’t just support individuals - they help shape stronger, more connected and more inclusive cultures.

Here at neurobox, our Mission is to ensure everyone finds their way.

Because how we think, work and experience the world is different for all of us. That’s why inclusion can’t be one-size-fits-all.

neuroNavigation - our approach - is about recognising those differences and providing the right support at the right time.

Over the next few days we'll be sharing some of the key elements to our approach.

🌟 Last, but certainly not least, tip number 5!

"Create a community; it's important not to feel isolated"

Simply put, building such connections helps create a safe space where everyone can belong and thrive.

Check if your organisation has an ERG. Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) serve as a place where colleagues can connect and learn. They are also often safe spaces where people can be themselves and share with those who understand their perspective through similar lived experiences.

🌟 Top tip number 4...

"Consistency. Regular check-ins really help"

Consistency and regular check-ins help create predictability and reduce uncertainty. Knowing when you’ll hear from your manager, what will be discussed, and having a regular space to raise questions or concerns can make work feel more manageable, supportive, and less overwhelming.

This is where coaching could play a part. Coaching provides practical, workplace-focused support for employees, managers and leaders to help neurodivergent people work in ways that align with how they think, learn and communicate.

🌟 Tip number 3...

"Intersectionality is so important, one size approach will not fit all."

Each person has multiple, overlapping identities (for example, disability, race, gender, culture, socioeconomic background), and these combinations shape their experiences in unique ways. That’s what intersectionality refers to.

So, a “one-size-fits-all” approach doesn’t work because support or policies designed for just one group may miss the needs of people who sit at the intersection of several identities.

👉In practice, it means organisations should stay flexible, listen to individuals, and tailor support, rather than assuming the same solution will work for everyone.

A huge THANK YOU to Dr Deborah Leveroy, Dr Christine Grant and Bronwyn Thompson for being a part of this incredibly insightful webinar today, and thank you to everyone who joined!

Here are a few key takeaways which were discussed in today's session:

💡 Remote work supports wellbeing, productivity and retention for disabled and ND workers. It is presented as an effective adjustment that

💡 Employees identified the most important manager competencies: active listening, empathy, curiosity, strengths-based practice, and regular communication.

💡 Effective remote working requires trust, output focus, and meaningful conversations - a mindset shift away from presenteeism and toward input vs. output, trust, and avoiding micromanagement.

Not to worry if you missed it, as it will still be available to download, along with the toolkit and slide deck!
