It was a pleasure to be part of the massage team at the Cambridge Half Marathon for the second year running πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ…

This year I even levelled up and found myself working in the VIP tent - clearly moving up in the world πŸ˜„πŸŽͺ

I really enjoyed supporting runners with post-race massage, recovery advice, and guidance on how to optimise their performance and recovery moving forward πŸ’ͺ🦡 It’s always great to contribute to such an incredible event and help athletes take care of their bodies after a demanding race.

A big thank you to the organisers and for the opportunity once again πŸ™Œ

Who knows… maybe I’ll consider running it myself one day - once the belly is a bit smaller πŸ˜…πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Last Tuesday, I had the opportunity to be part of a golf workshop as part of my placement with the .physio_ Physio Clinic ⛳️

I ran my own station focusing on single-leg balance and single-leg RDLs, helping golfers improve stability, reduce injury risk, and move more efficiently. It was a great experience being able to put my skills into practice, work with golfers directly, and contribute to their performance and long-term health πŸ’ͺ

Yesterday I defended my dissertation poster, and I’m genuinely proud of myself. πŸ™πŸ“šπŸŽ“

My research explores the influence of soft tissue massage on lower limb physiology using ischemic preconditioning, comparing baseline measurements to the reperfusion response after massage. Standing there presenting months of work felt surreal and reminded me how far I’ve come. 🧠✨

Balancing university, work, work experience, and personal life hasn’t been easy - it’s been stressful, demanding, and at times overwhelming. But moments like this make it all worth it. They remind me why I started. πŸ’ΌπŸ“–

I went in not knowing what to expect, and I walked out feeling more confident, more motivated, and ready to finish strong. One final step left - the dissertation. πŸŽ“πŸ”₯

It’s official - I’m now a certified Personal Trainer! πŸ’ͺπŸŽ‰

I’ve been quiet about this, but for the last 4 months I’ve worked incredibly hard to make it happen. Whether alongside uni or even on holiday in Turkey, I stayed committed, driven by passion and determination. And now, I can proudly say… I DID IT. πŸ™ŒπŸ”₯

Sports and fitness have always been part of my DNA. Growing up, my uncle and cousin were deeply involved in fitness - my cousin achieving great things in the industry - and I’ve always looked up to them as examples of what’s possible with dedication.

From playing football at academy level in Lithuania, to representing my town, college, and university in basketball at National League, CBL, and BUCS levels – movement, performance, and pushing limits have shaped who I am.

Now, alongside my role as a Sports Therapist, I can offer Personal Training under the gold standard – CIMSPA. This isn’t just a certificate - it’s proof of years of passion, discipline, and a commitment to helping others achieve their goals.
