PaNDR (Paediatric and Neonatal Decision Support and Retrieval Service)

We are the Paediatric and Neonatal Decision Support and Retrieval Service, known as PaNDR. Health professionals can access any part of our service via a 24 hour referral hotline - 01223 274 274. We provide critical care retrievals for children up to the age of 16 years requiring transfer from different locations across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. We also provide neonatal transfers and in-

utero cot/bed location for the whole of the East of England – this part of our service was previously known as ANTS (Acute Neonatal Transfer Service). In addition to specialist retrieval, we offer clinical advice to health professionals caring for all children, from extremely preterm infants up to 16 year olds.

Behind every transfer undertaken by PANDR EOE is a team of dedicated Administrative staff: Emergency Bed Service Co-ordinators & Shift Leaders, Business Management, Operational and Data professionals who support our clinical staff.

Today we celebrated 5 years since the launch of PaNDR 🐼 🚑

During this time, we have undertaken more than 7,500 neonatal and paediatric transfers, co-ordinated 3,200 in-utero transfers and travelled 700,000 (!) miles across the East of England and beyond.

Our dedicated call handling and administrative team have managed more than 25,000 calls every year ☎️

Thank you to our colleagues and families for all of the support, here’s to the next 5 years 🥳
