To anyone grieving, please allow yourself to grieve fully and unapologetically. Don’t stop the tears, let them flow. Want to scream about how unfair it is? Scream it. If we do not fully grieve at the time of loss, our body will still remember and the grief will appear over and over again in different ways; such as depression, addictions, hoarding, combativeness, lung problems and isolation, among other issues. We have to feel an emotion to its depth to be able to release it and move on with grace. Loss fu***ng sucks. It’s one of the most unfair parts of the human experience, but it also is our greatest teacher of love.
