🚨 Important Notice – Clinical System Downtime 🚨

Taffs Well Medical Centre will be switching to a new clinical system on 19th March 2026. This change has been mandated by the Health Board and has affected all GP practices across Wales.

📅 From 12 noon on Thursday 12th March until 19th March 2026, we will not have access to patient medical records.

During this time:
⚠️ We will be operating an emergency on-the-day service only
⚠️ Routine appointments will not be available
⚠️ We cannot access test results or medical history

💊 Repeat Prescriptions
If your medication is due during this period, please submit your request in the week commencing 9th March 2026.
Eligible patients will receive double prescriptions in February and March to help cover this period.

Unavailable from 11th March – 20th March 2026

🚑 If you become unwell:
• Contact the surgery in the usual way for urgent issues
• Speak to your local pharmacist
• Call NHS 111 for advice

During the week commencing 9th February 2026, there will be limited car parking and disruption due to essential work on the building. Scaffolding will be in place around the surgery. We thank you for your co-operation.

REMINDER: Along with all other GP surgeries in the Cwm Taf, both Taffs Well Medical Centre & Castle View Surgery will be closed from 1pm TODAY (Thursday 15th January 2026) for training, and will reopen as usual at 8am tomorrow (Friday 16th January 2026).
During this period, if you need to speak to someone urgently, please call the surgery on 029 20820320 to obtain the "on call" service number.
