Who are we?
We are an established healthcare company who specialise in providing outstanding care to clients with challenging behaviours often ensuing from mental illness. We provide 24-hour nursing care and support to our residents across two nursing homes based near the centre of Cardiff.
What are we looking for?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our fantastic team. We are looking for people who are passionate about delivering person-centred and individualised care to our service users.
The Role
Key features of this position include:
- Providing therapeutic and personal care to our clients
- Establishing supportive relationships with clients and encourage the development of stable relationships between clients,other staff members, families and friends and within the group itself
- Promoting the right of clients to be treated with dignity and respect in every aspect of their lives
-Providing in-house activities to aid client stimulation
- Supporting residents in making their own choices and decisions to the maximum of their capacity, and ensure that the needs and wishes of clients are fully considered in any decision relating to them.
Requirements
Essential:
- Applicants must have at least one years' experience in the healthcare industry
- Applicants must be reliable and trustworthy
- Applicants must be organised, well presented and have good time-keeping
- Applicants must be able to work as part of a team
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate a real interest in care with an aim to make a positive difference to the daily lives of our service users
Desirable:
- Experience in working with clients with mental illness/ challenging behaviour
- Level 2+ NVQ in Health & Social Care or equivalent
