This is , CEO of .
We had a great conversation on the 'Crisis to Crushin It' Podcast.

In answer to, tell me a story about something that has amazed you.
He replied " I was speaking at a local high school, sharing the importance of a practice of gratitude. When opening up the room for students to share what they are grateful for, a 10th grade student raised his hand and said: "I am grateful for a strong family and for me to be able to cope with sadness through writing and playing music. At age 7, my sister was diagnosed with Leukemia. It has been hard on our family."
I fist bumped him and said: thank you for being vulnerable.”

Had a great day today, made it about cooking for the family. Irish curry with turkey leftovers, Roast Potatoes for anytime picking especially my eldest who is a bottomless pit where food is concerned, Jamie Oliver Hodgepodge Pie for Mum, plenty of love gone into it and my first attempt at piping while being mocked by my wife and daughter, I've got broad shoulders 😄, mums on her own after losing Dad this year, got to keep her fed. So after cooking and prepping most of the day with my wife I feel its been productive and I feel closer to my wife, few cheeky glasses of red while the kids crack on with their presents. Happy days, hope you are all finding more of what you want 2021 to be about.

Local history on our doorstep. Headlands School.

History

Built 1868 as 'Penarth Hotel' by Taff Vale Railway Company; cost ú27,000. Similarities with Marine Buildings (Dock Road) suggest possibly same (unknown) architect involved. Bought and presented to National Children's Home by widow of Major J A Gibbs in memory of her husband who was killed during First World War (official opening July 1921). Building was a nautical training school known as the J A Gibbs Home; subsequently renamed The Headlands School.
