Cardiff University Surgical Society has grown to become one of the largest medic student societies at Cardiff University and in the United Kingdom! The joint interest, assertion and passion of its members have seen CUSS grow into a dynamic and exciting research, teaching and support engine for students with surgical interests. Throughout

the year, we plan trips, activities and much more! We provide anatomy teaching, lectures from field-leading surgeons as well as skills training and surgical lecture series prior to medical school finals. We also raise money for charity and help our local schools with applications to medicine. Up next: ✨ General Surgery Session: Thyroid & Abdominal Exams 🗓️

This session will be led by General Surgical Trainees and includes:

Our first event will focus on Trauma & Orthopaedics (T&O), with a special emphasis on hip, knee, and hand examinations. A T&O mock will start after the demos/ practice.

During these sessions, consultants/ registrars will demonstrate examination skills and offer valuable tips on avoiding common pitfalls. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and practice in mock stations!
