In April, the energy price cap is dropping by approximately 7%. It is predicted that the overall typical annual bill could decrease by £117 for an average household.

But for millions of people living in fuel poverty, this won’t feel like a saving. Many are still struggling with the energy debt built up during the winter or worried about how they’ll cover the cost of more mouths to feed during the school holidays.
