Keeping our communities safe in Cearau / Ely ๐ณ๐
Weโre pleased to share that the Council has secured ยฃ1,500 from the Hotspot Action Fund, part of the UK Governmentโs Safer Streets initiative, to support high-visibility joint patrols in our area.
Working together, Parks Services, South Wales Police, and the Urban Park Ranger Team will be carrying out targeted patrols to help tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in local hotspot areas.
๐ Where: Plymouth Great Woods & Trelai Park
๐
When: 13 planned patrols over 10 weekends
๐ Time: Friday & Saturday evenings, 6pmโ9pm
๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐ฎโโ๏ธ Who: Two police officers and two urban park rangers per patrol
These patrols will run from Saturday 31 January to Saturday 28 March 2026, with timings adjusted slightly in March due to seasonal shift changes.
Weโll be kept updated on the impact of these patrols and will share outcomes with residents as the work progresses. This is about visible action, partnership working, and making our parks safer for everyone.
