This reversible belt has been on my list for a long time. Yes it’s extravagant but it’s a mindful purchase in 2 colour ways which I know will work hard for me in my wardrobe, black and beige Gucci logo. Together with an old gold buckle in a perfect metal wear and size buckle for me. Also consider the price per wear for high ticket price items. This I will wear often with jeans, trousers, jumpsuits, dresses shorts do my cost per wear will be low!! Plus I ❤️ it!! You can look out for me styling it!! 🤣
Interesting I looked up these guidelines for selecting the perfect length belt which was a surprise to me as not many of my other belts meet this criteria!!
A belt should typically overlap enough to reach, or just pass, the first belt loop on your trousers, generally extending about 2-4 inches beyond the buckle. For the best fit, you should aim to use the middle hole of a 5-hole belt. If it is much longer than the first loop, it is too long.
Key Takeaways for Belt Overlap
• Standard Rule: The tip should reach the first belt loop on your pants.
• Optimal Length: 2-4 inches of excess beyond the buckle is ideal.
• Sizing: A common rule is to buy a belt 2 inches
larger than your pant waist size.
• Too Long/Short: If the belt tail hangs excessively or is too short to reach the first loop, it is sized incorrectly.
Specific Scenarios
• Dress Belts: Should be sleek, fitting into the first loop, often 1 1/4” - 1 3/8” in width.
• Casual Belts: Can be slightly longer, often 1 3/4” to 2” in width.
Tempting as it was to get the matching scarf too I resisted as I’m not a big silk scarf wearer!!
Was a great shopping trip to London and can’t wait to share my other purchases and updating you on the trends of the season.
