✨ A Touch of Spookie Workshop – with a Yuletide Twist! ✨
For the past few years, Claire O'Dell, Suzanne Greenyer and Tracey Constant, have shared a lovely tradition just before the Christmas festivities begin: creating our very own wooden Yule Logs to light throughout the holiday season.

This custom reaches all the way back to pagan times, when families would bring a great log into their homes for the Winter Solstice. It was lit to welcome back the sun after the longest night, to protect the household, and to bring good fortune for the year ahead.

We’ve adapted it for modern times (since most of us don’t have open fires!). Instead, we bore holes into the logs, add candles of choice, and decorate them with festive trinkets. Each evening, from
Christmas until Twelfth Night, we light the candles, set intentions for the year ahead, blow them out, and relight them the next evening. We gather in the garden, burn the log, and toast the fire together. 🔥

Over the years, friends on Facebook and visitors to our homes have admired these magical logs and often asked if they could make one too… so this year, you can!
🎄 Yule Log Workshop
📅 Sunday 30th November
🕙 10am – 1pm
📍 Ramalley Scout Hall, Chandlers Ford
💷 £25 (payable by 1st November to cover materials and hall hire)

All logs, candles, and decorations will be provided – and of course, it wouldn’t be truly magickal without a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie (or cake!). 🥂✨ If you’d like to bring your own special charms or trinkets to personalise your log, please do – imagination is encouraged!
