I changed my diet… I stopped drinking alcohol, I stopped eating meat, I made healthier choices and I started walking every day. My body clock naturally switched to waking up at 0500, because I was now so full of energy. I started walking 15,000 steps each morning before breakfast. 9KM BY 9AM CHALLENGE - challenges you to take one of the 9KM By 9AM 7 DAY, 28 DAY or 90 DAY Challenges. Decide the 9KM BY 9AM Challenge 7 DAY, 28 DAY OR 90 DAY you want to complete.
2. Set your alarm clock so you get up in time for a 9KM walk before 9 O'clock.
3. You'll need a smartphone to track your walk so you can post a photograph of your walk map.
4. Post your walk on the Group page. For every Challenge completed you will receive a 9KM BY 9AM CHALLENGE CERTIFICATE. 7 x Walks Posted - 7 DAY, 28 x Walks Posted - 28 DAY, 90 x Walks Posted - 90 DAY

GO SOBER THIS OCTOBER - DAY 30

THE 4 WAYS TO FALL OFF THE WAGON

Falling off the wagon looks like it happens in lots of ways — you jump, you slip, someone tempts you, someone else cracks first — but every version has the same punchline: you chose it. If you “fell,” it’s because you got too close to the edge. If you were “pulled,” it’s because you let friends or society tell you it was time to drink again. If you were “pushed,” it’s because you allowed someone else’s decision to become your permission. There’s that old line: hang around the barber’s long enough and you’ll get a haircut — same with booze.

The good news? That means you’re not a victim of alcohol, pubs, Christmas, old mates or your partner. You’re the one at the controls. No one can make you drink unless they turn up with a gun. Once you really own that, getting back on the wagon — and staying there — becomes much easier, because you’ve stopped blaming the wagon, the weather, or other people, and started taking responsibility. That’s where change lives.

IF YOU’RE GOING TO TAKE THE ISLAND YOU MUST BURN THE BOATS THAT GOT YOU THERE

If you are in a situation, and you burn your boats, you destroy all possible ways of going back to that situation.

In the year 1519, Hernán Cortés arrived in the “New World” with 600 men, and upon arrival, made history by “burning his ships.” This sent a clear message to his men. There is no turning back!  Two years later, he succeeded in his complete conquest of the Aztec empire.
