🌺 Remembrance Day 2025 🌺

Today, we join the nation in honouring and remembering the sacrifices of all who have served and died in wars and conflicts, both in the past and more recently.

Remembrance Day marks the end of World War I, but it has grown to include the service and dedication of the UK and Commonwealth armed forces, the emergency services, and civilians who have lost their lives to terrorism or conflict.

At Forge House Care, we pause to reflect on the bravery, courage, and sacrifice of those who gave so much for our freedom.
Their legacy reminds us to remain grateful for peace, mindful of the cost of war, and committed to never forgetting.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this party a success, from the planning to the decorations and all the little touches that made the day so special. 💛

🎃👻 Spooky Fun at Forge House Care! 👻🎃
We had an amazing time at our Halloween party last week! Everyone, staff and service users alike, dressed up in their scariest and most creative costumes, enjoyed delicious food, and danced along to great music.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this party possible, from the decorations to all the planning. Your hard work made the day extra special! 💀🕸️🍬

🌿 Today is National Stress Awareness Day 🌿

Stress can affect anyone, staff, service users, and families. At Forge House Care, we believe looking after your mental wellbeing is just as important as physical health. 💚

Here are a few small steps you can try today:
✨ Take a short walk or get some fresh air
✨ Try a few deep breaths or a moment of mindfulness
✨ Have a chat with someone you trust, it helps more than you think
✨ Do something you enjoy, even for 10 minutes 😊

If you or someone you support needs extra help, please speak to your support worker or contact the Forge House Care office. You’re not alone, your wellbeing matters. ❤️

🌟 Diwali Celebration at Forge House Care! 🌟
This week, our service users and staff came together to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights, a time that symbolises light, joy, and brighter tomorrows. ✨
We’re proud to support and celebrate the diversity within our community, and this year’s event was truly special. Our service users had the chance to enjoy beautiful henna tattoos, taste delicious traditional Hindu food, and take part in a day full of colour, laughter, and togetherness. 💛🪔
A big thank you to our amazing team who made it all possible, from the stunning decorations to the tasty dishes and joyful atmosphere. And thank you to everyone who joined us to make this celebration so meaningful! 🙏💫

🌙 Pyjama Day at Forge House Care 🌙

We had a wonderful time on Friday celebrating Pyjama Day. It was great to see so many of our service users and staff taking part and embracing the spirit of the day in their cosy pyjamas.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed and made donations, your support helps us make a real difference to those who need it most.

It was truly inspiring to see our community come together for such a meaningful cause.

🌟 Independence in Action! 🌟

Last week, our service user Alex enjoyed a lovely trip out for some new bedding 🛏, he showed fantastic independence choosing the colours he liked and confidently paying at the till! 💪✨

After shopping, Alex treated himself to a cosy coffee ☕ and a peaceful walk around the area. It’s wonderful to see him enjoying his day and building confidence in everyday activities. 💙

A big thank you to our amazing staff for their continuous support and encouragement, helping individuals like Alex to live independently and thrive in their community. 🌈

🍂 A Perfect Autumn Day at Shorne Woods! 🍂

Our service users had a wonderful time exploring Shorne Woods Country Park last week! 🌳
The weather couldn’t have been better: sunny, crisp, and perfect for a peaceful walk surrounded by beautiful autumn colours. 🍂🍁🍃🍂

We enjoyed everyone’s company, lots of laughter, and the calm of nature at its best. 💛

There’s something truly special about spending time outdoors together, it’s great for the mind, body, and soul! 🌞
