Do you ever notice how some decisions don’t feel big…
but they completely drain you?
Not life changing on paper.
But somehow they sit in your head for days.

You go over it again and again.
You talk it through.
You try to be “rational”.
And still… no clarity.

I see this all the time in my work.
It’s not that people don’t know themselves.
It’s that when emotions, history, and pressure collide, it’s hard to think clearly alone.
Sometimes what’s needed isn’t long term therapy.
It’s space.

A steady nervous system.
And someone to help you untangle the noise. I’ve had these moments myself , where nothing feels ‘huge’, but the mental load is exhausting.

That stuck, restless feeling is often a sign you need space, not answers. If you’re in that place right now, you’re not failing.

The quiet voice that says
You should be doing more.
You should be better.
You should be further along by now.

For many people, this is anxiety.
Not panic. Not overwhelm. Just a steady inner pressure. A constant mental hum. A sense of always being slightly behind, slightly on edge, slightly braced.

Because it doesn’t look dramatic, most people don’t recognise it as anxiety at all. They just think
“This is how I am.”
“My mind never switches off.”
“I’m just a driven person.”

This is often what people mean when they talk about high-functioning anxiety.

You’re capable. You get things done. You hold it together. But inside, there is very little true rest.

It isn’t a personality trait.
It’s a nervous system that has learned to stay alert.
A mind trained to scan for what needs fixing next.

And once you can see it for what it is, you can start to change your relationship with it.
