Dr Wene has joined the surgery as a long term locum GP and works Fridays

Melissa has joined the surgery as a Practice Nurse and works Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday morning

Kingsway Surgery are looking to employ two new reception team members, one position for 14.5hrs per week and one position for 13hrs a week to join our existing team of 8 receptionists, with additional cover required for annual leave and staff sickness.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Front of house greeting patients
Telephone triage calls
Patchs messages – our econsult tool
Calling patients
Printed out blood test forms and booking appointments
Scanning and assigning post
Completing tasks from team members or patients
Calling patients in from work lists and other health reviews
Working closely with our clinical and admin team.

Kingsway Surgery will be closed from 12:00 to 18:30 TODAY for Practice Staff Training as authorised by Mid Essex Clinic Commissioing Group.

All telephone calls will be diverted to the Out of Hours Service.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY UNLESS YOU HAVE A BOOKED APPOINTMENT.

The surgery will open again tomorrow at 8.00am.

📣JOB OPPORTUNITY 📣

Kingsway Surgery are seeking a prescription clerk to join our wonderful team.

We are looking for a part-time position of 17 hrs per week worked over Thursday and Friday start and finish times can be flexible but must be 7.5 hrs per day.

We are looking for someone with previous experience of using Systmone and Ardens templates, as well as dealing with repeat prescription requests.

Training will be given by our existing member of prescription clerk team. You will be dealing with the repeat prescription requests that come in daily from the patients, pharmacies and care homes working closely with the GP’s and the rest of the surgery team.

‼️Village Pharmacy have resolved the technical issue and are now able to receive and process prescriptions ‼️

We are unable to use Village Pharmacy at the present time due to an issue Village Pharmacy are currently experiencing, we are hoping that the problem will be rectified very soon but until then all prescriptions have to go to Govani or Allied pharmacies.

The NHS Pharmacy First scheme allows pharmacists to provide patients in England with clinical advice and suitable treatments for six common health conditions, without needing to see a GP.

This new service covers conditions including:

Sinusitis
Sore throat
Infected insect bites
Impetigo
Shingles
Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)

With our online Pharmacy First Service, you can speak to one of our pharmacists, who will ask more about your symptoms and issue the best treatment. If a prescription treatment is required, you can order from our online pharmacy for delivery or we can issue a prescription for your local pharmacy.
