We have recently been busy with trips and events, including a sing-along with Carly-Ann in our Drake Community, where residents and staff came together for a fun afternoon, singing old favorites and duetting. We also celebrated a 60th birthday. We have also been lucky enough to take a few of our residents out for a spot of lunch, enjoying a pint and the amazing food on offer. We do have more lined up, as the saying goes, “watch this space”.

Easter arrived at Admirals; we had a competition for the best Easter Bonnet, judged by our Home Manager, Lal. The Activities Team, going around to the communities as the assistant Easter Bunnies, handing out Easter Eggs. Lots of laughs and interaction; amazing. We also held an Easter Raffle to raise funds for the Residents Comfort Fund. A very busy weekend.

On Tuesday 17th March a few of our residents were invited to a charity event held at Chelmsford Racecourse; Time For A Cuppa, which the racecourse holds annually in supporting residents living with Dementia. There was plenty of lovely cakes to choose from and oodles of tea and coffee on offer. It is lovely that a local organisation recognise those with such illness. We are all looking forward to next year's event.
