The Cotswold Chiropractor is run by McTimoney-trained chiropractor Alexandra Hurley, who has been in private chiropractic practice since 2007. Alexandra has experience in treating many musculoskeletal problems, such as low back pain, neck pain, shoulder problems, cervicogenic (caused by the neck) headaches, postural dysfunction, knee pain, elbow, wrist and ankle pain. Alexandra is also fully qualified in veterinary chiropractic, to treat horses and dogs with gentle low-force techniques. She trained in Germany at the BackBone Academy and has also passed the rigorous examination for the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IAVC). Alexandra uses the gentle sought-after McTimoney method of chiropractic- there are many different techniques available in the world of chiropractic- McTimoney is known for being a gentle, precise, whole-body approach to chiropracatic care, utilising low-force adjustments. Alexandra has also trained to use Dry needling (Western Medical Acupuncture), kinesiology taping, ultrasound and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisations (IASTM) to complement chiropractic treatment.
