Meet our new Physiotherapist!

Sam is a Chartered Physiotherapist with over eight years of experience, specialising in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. Since qualifying, he has worked across a variety of hospital specialties, gaining valuable experience in areas such as orthopaedics, surgery, respiratory care, and rehabilitation before developing a particular interest and expertise in musculoskeletal outpatients.

Throughout his career, Sam has worked with a diverse range of patients, supporting those with both acute injuries and long-term, complex musculoskeletal disorders. He is passionate about helping individuals return to their best level of function and achieve meaningful, sustainable improvements in their quality of life.

In his current role as a First Contact Practitioner, Sam works closely with GPs and other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide early assessment, diagnosis, and management for patients presenting with musculoskeletal problems. This collaborative approach allows for timely, patient-centred care and empowers individuals to take an active role in their recovery.

Outside of work, Sam is an enthusiastic runner and lifelong rugby fan, enjoying the balance of staying active and being part of a team both on and off the field.

Following an increase in telephone calls enquiring about the status of their prescription, we ask patients to leave 3 working days from order to collection. If you have allowed 3 working days you do not need to contact the surgery. This allows our dispensary team to process the request and order any medication if needed.

Please be reminded that Cheriton Bishop is a dispensing practice and does not currently utilise the electronic prescribing system.
