Was actually really up for that this morning! 😂 Yep. Weird. I know.

It gets to a point where enough is enough 🐷 and I have to switch back into normal mode… not immediately... I’m not going completely cold turkey on the chocs and cheese and wine just yet, I find a phased approach works best for me…!! Starting with healthier choices for breakfast, more water, exercise and (more) fresh air.

Nothing drastic.

Food tracking will start again in the new year. It has to. Feels like I’ve been eating in a surplus for about 6 months… but you know what?! I’VE BLOODY LOVED IT! 🫶🏼😂

If you’re wanting to get into better habits in the new year, I challenge you to start today. It’s Monday. It’s still 2025, but it’s after the Christmas chaos and will set you on the right path as we move into 2026…. GO FOR IT! 💪🏼

12 days of Gym-mas - The Kaye & May Edit!

Cheeky little WOD - 10min EMOM (3 rounds)

150m erg
5 burpees
10 devil press
15 bicep curl

Then we threw in a 2k run and 100 wall balls for good measure. Nothing earth shattering, but considering we both drank wine last night, neither of us were feeling particularly up for it, and it was 9.30am on a Sunday, we bloody smashed it mate… 🤣💪🏼🤪😇

A BIG weekend in the BIG smoke with a BIG dose of reality smacking me right in the face this Monday called for a BIG SWEAT SESH tonight! 💪🏼😰🏋🏼‍♀️

I say big, it was only 38 mins, but oh my god, we absolutely went for it! And wow, I can’t believe how much better I feel for doing it!! 😂

Don’t under estimate how much moving your body can help break you out of a funk… When I say I needed that today, I mean, I REALLY needed that today! 🤪

Move your body. Push yourself. Do hard stuff. Get your heart racing. Feel alive. Be strong. Do it for you. 🫶🏼

An active holiday is still a holiday! 🌴

It never used to be like this though! When we had the luxury of holidaying pre-kids, hubby and I used to come away and slob out, literally - only moving off the sun lounger to grab a beer (or Blue WKD) - oh times have changed!!

A mega bike ride, a beasting in the gym and a hike along the coastal path were the things I really looked forward to about this mini break… and we did it all!

We had the best time too. It just proves the point that people can change, attitudes can change and behaviours can change, with consistency and time. So… KEEP GOING! 😊

And the photos deserve a spot on the grid now we’ve been catapulted back into winter!! 😂❄️

My posts may have slowed down recently, but my fitness certainly hasn’t! 💪🏼

Since returning to full time employment, life is different. Work is BUSY. The weeks fly by! But making time for my own health and fitness is still a priority. (As well as still teaching my lovely fitness classes and PT-ing a small number of gorgeous clients of course! 🥰)

However, I 100% can’t get 10k steps in every day! Some days I just simply can’t. But I try and get as many as possible, in addition to working out (5 days a week) and tracking my food (every day). I honestly do practice what I preach! 🙏🏼

Life is GOOD! And very full! And I’m totally loving the addition of Hyrox training to my schedule! 🙌🏼🏋️

Moral of the story - don’t stop making time for yourself - actively MAKE time to exercise. It’s essential. 🤘🏼 Do it often enough and you’ll learn to love it.

I shall forever bang this drum… 🥁🥁🥁😝

F O O D_P O S T! 🥗

Well this one is worth sharing…

Roasted feta veg with harrisa chicken. AKA triumphant taste sensation! 🤩

2 x sweet potato, 1 x red pepper, 1 x red onion, handful cherry tomatoes all chopped up, drizzle over some rapeseed oil, mixed herbs of your choice (harrisa or Cajun works well) and crumble over your feta cheese. Whack in the oven for 20 mins.

Drizzle a tiny bit of oil over chicken breast, with some salt and pepper and spices of your choice, and whack in the air fryer for 20 mins.

Mix some Greek yogurt and mango chutney together for the sauce.

Bosh.

✔️High in protein
✔️Loads of veg
✔️Filling
✔️Makes multiple portions.

Wow, I’ve just taken a moment to appreciate how active last week was! It’s always tough when you come back from hols, and it was so busy & full on last week… felt totally done in by the time Friday rolled around!! But I really appreciate the routine and active life we have as a family… and the freedom and ability to move / workout / teach (and hopefully inspire!) as I do! Bring on this week I say! Let’s GO! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩
