Mr Martyn Mulvey of Tupton has sadly passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital on the 11th of February 2026 aged 65.

Born in Chesterfield and a lifelong local resident.

Martyn worked for Bryan Donkin from school, then Rentokil and finally at Solo Services Group.

His interests were golf, guitar, fishing, karate and bowling in his younger years, he also enjoyed exploring The Isles of Orkney with his dog Lulah.

Martyn leaves his wife Julie, daughters Katie, Joanna and Daniella. Martyn was predeceased by his daughter Ellen, he also leaves stepson James and 6 grandchildren.

The funeral service is due to take place on Monday 2nd March 2026 at Chesterfield Crematorium at 12.45pm.

Donations in memory of Martyn will be given to The British Heart Foundation.

Rachel Elizabeth Naylor of Grangewood has sadly passed away at home aged 49.

Born in Derby and a local Chesterfield resident all her life.

When she was younger, she loved horse riding, gymnastics, swimming, liked cars and animals.

Rachel was predeceased by her partner Jamie Baxter, also her mum Viviene and dad Tony, she leaves behind her son Joshua Baxter, sister Gina, niece Lauren, nephew’s Ben and Callum.

The funeral service has taken place.

Mrs Gladys Dimaio of Grassmoor has sadly passed away at home on the 5th of February 2026 aged 94.

Born in Bolsover and a lifelong local resident, Gladys was a home maker. She enjoyed having family around her and loved Saturday nights out playing bingo.

Gladys was predeceased by her husband Guiseppe, daughter Mary and son Michael, she leaves behind children Tereasa and her husband Richard, Anna, Ernest, Lucy and husband Keith, Tony and Joseph. Numerous grandchildren/great grandchildren, along with brothers William and Peter and sister-in-law Mary.

The funeral service is due to take place on Friday 13th March 2026 at The Annunciation Church, Spencer Street, Chesterfield at 12noon.

Donations in memory of Gladys will be given to Ashgate Hospice.

Mrs June Bourne of Clay Cross has sadly passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 83 years.

Born in Bevereley, Hull and a resident of Clay Cross for 61 years.

June worked as a switchboard operator at Clay Cross Works, also Landlady at The Royal Volunteer and The Greyhound.

Her interests since retirement included spending time with her family and friends, bingo, reading, crosswords and shopping.

June was predeceased by her husband Michael (Mick) Bourne.
She was a beloved Mum, Mama and Great Mama.

The funeral service is due to take place on Thursday 26th February 2026 at The Chapel, 25 Market Street, Clay Cross at 11.00am.

Donations in the memory of June will be taken for The Donkey Sanctuary.

Help and share.

Our Black Horse Drawn Hearse will be followed closely by our Rolls Royce Limousine's will be out in Danesmoor and Clay Cross Tomorrow.

Please pass slowly if you see us approaching.
Tomorrow Tuesday 17th Feb, we will be making our way from Danesmoor at around 11.30am to our service chapel on Market Street Claycross.

We are expecting a large attendance for Malc, if you would like to pay your respects on route we will be passing slowly and stopping at SDL (Minorfern) to allow colleagues to say a final goodbye to a much loved and respected man.
