We’re pleased to announce that the Spring COVID-19 booster will be available at Langwith Pharmacy starting Monday 13th April.

Who is eligible?
You may be eligible for a spring booster if you are:
✔️ Aged 75 years or over
✔️ A resident in a care home for older adults
✔️ Immunosuppressed (aged 6 months and over)

Keeping up to date with your COVID-19 vaccination helps protect you and those around you 💙

We are now an official Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre 💉

If you’re travelling abroad (especially to parts of Africa or South America), you may need a Yellow Fever vaccine certificate to enter certain countries.

👉 We can now provide:• Yellow Fever vaccinations• Official certificates for travel• Travel health advice tailored to your trip

If you’ve got a holiday or trip coming up, don’t leave it last minute — some vaccines need to be done in advance.

There’s been a recent meningitis outbreak in Kent (around Canterbury), mainly affecting young people and students.

Sadly, there have been 2 deaths and around 20–30 cases reported in a short space of time, with many needing hospital treatment. ()

A lot of cases have been linked to close-contact settings (like uni halls and nights out), and it spread pretty quickly over just a few days. ()

Health teams have been giving out antibiotics and vaccines to people who may have been exposed, and things seem to be slowing down now – but they’re still monitoring closely. ()

👉 Just a reminder – this is rare, but it can become serious very quickly
👉 If something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait it out
