A quiet, muddy walk today at Roche Abbey 🏰
Ancient rocks, woodland so peaceful, streams, little bridges, and a waterfall.
Snowdrops are out, and the daffodils just starting to show - very Imbolc energy, which marks half way from the winter solstice to the spring equinox. Mother Earth is showing the first signs of renewal, in her own time, not rushed 🔆🌿🌳

Feeling nourished, grounded, and very muddy!

It’s been a busy month supporting my clients alongside studying 🧘🏽‍♀️📚
I’ve passed another two Vivas for my level 4 sports massage, and I’ve spent a lot of time on my theory and revision.

Deep tissue and sports massage have been the most popular treatments this month, followed by reflexology and lymphatic massage. I’ve been supporting my clients with sciatica, tech neck, frozen shoulder, lymphoedema, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, menopausal symptoms, and tension headaches from emotional stress.

The Lymphatic system 🫸🏼💧🫷🏼

January often brings the new routines, fresh intentions, and dry Jan 🍺 and while these can be very helpful, the real wellbeing is built through steady, long term healthy habits, rather than quick fixes.

The lymphatic system plays a vital role in overall health. It is a network of vessels, tissues and organs that helps regulate fluid levels, support immune function, and help the body manage waste and inflammation. Unlike the circulatory system, it’s doesn’t have its own pump and relies on movement to keep flowing.

When lymphatic flow becomes sluggish, fluid can build up in the tissues and the immune system can feel under pressure. This may show up as heaviness, swelling, fatigue, hormonal imbalance, or digestive discomfort.

Lymphatic drainage massage uses precise techniques to encourage natural flow and support the body’s systems. Many of my clients love and appreciate the benefits of this treatment.

Simple daily habits can also make a difference-

🚶🏻‍♀️Movement is key.
🧘🏽‍♀️ Breathing exercises and meditation.
💧 Staying hydrated.
🧹 Dry body brushing
🥘 Nourishing foods.
🪑 Reduce prolonged sitting.

Happy New Year 🥳

Today marks the turning of the calendar year, a moment many of us pause and reflect. Yet in nature, the season is still quiet. The Earth is resting, and energy is still moving slowly beneath the surface.

This morning I went out walking among the trees, taking in some vitamin tree 🌳 and fresh air. Grounding, and connecting with nature in the stillness of winter.

As we step into the new year, may you move gently, honour your energy, and trust your own rhythm. I’ll be here to guide you, hold space, and support your wellbeing.

Happy Winter Solstice ☀️

The night is long, but the light returns.

The Winter Solstice marks the longest night and the turning of the year, the moment when the light begins its quiet return.
Our ancestors honoured it as a time of rest, fires were lit, Yule logs burned, and the return of the sun was welcomed with trust and patience.

In our modern busy lives, rest can feel harder to allow. But this season reminds us that slowing down isn’t falling behind, it’s listening.
The light doesn’t return all at once, it comes back gently day by day, just like our energy does when we give ourselves permission to rest, and slow down.

As the days begin to lengthen, may we learn to rest where we can, gather love and warmth, and move softly with the returning light.

🎄Finding the Calm in the Christmas hustle 🎄

December carries a lot 😵‍💫
Shopping, organising, planning, parties, all of top of work and everyday life.

When everything speeds up, so does the body!
Especially the nervous system, that stays switched up, and I can feel how tense and wired you are!
So recently my treatments have been focused on slowing things back down. Giving your nervous system a break and calming those over active adrenal glands. Helping the body to let go, fully relax, feel safe, and just letting your body bring itself back into balance.

Ways you can support yourself through the festive weeks 🎄💃🏽🍾🥳🎁🍻

💧 Keep hydrated.

🌿 Herbal teas, to keep the body warm and hydrated, and bring a sense of calm.

💤 Prioritise your sleep, wind down routine,and rest.

🥘 Eat nourishing meals to build up immune system and strengthen your Qi.

🧘🏽‍♀️ Gentle movement, such as Yoga, Pilates, QiGong.

🧘 Meditation and breathing exercises.
