About GEMS Care and Support Services
GEMS Care and Support Services provides high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, complex needs, physical disabilities, and elderly care. The team is dedicated to promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing for every person supported.
Role Overview
The role involves providing compassionate, reliable, and professional care to clients in their homes and community settings. This includes supporting elderly individuals with mobility, companionship, and daily living activities to enhance their quality of life and maintain independence.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality care and support tailored to individual needs
Provide Hygiene prompts, mobility assistance, and help with daily routines
Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing
Support clients to engage in meaningful activities and community participation
Assist with meal preparation, medication prompts, and light household tasks
Maintain accurate records and follow care plans
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues
Uphold the values and standards of GEMS Care and Support Services
Requirements
Previous experience in care or support work (essential)
A caring, dedicated, and reliable attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
