Connect and Thrive is a place were you can learn a set of techniques with the intention of building inner awareness , emotional resilience and cultivating wellness . Its about connecting with oneself on a deeper level on a regular basis, knowing that by doing so ,we each can take charge of our own body, instead of handing over our healing to someone else , when we take time to build a connection within, we have all we need to flourish and thrive and live authentically

We do this by using somatic sensing - breath and body , journaling both written and art ,gratitude ,inner smile, humming and open focused meditations . Over the last 10 years I have trained in laughter yoga , Shiatsu , Movement Shiatsu with Bill Palmer and taught myself to paint and draw ,successfully selling some of my artworks , as well as learning Indian classical music on flute . Each of these disciplines has shown me how powerful they can be at connecting deeply to my inner world , which in turn helped me thrive into the life I wanted. In the new year I'll be opening up the cabin space for a set of three workshops the first of which will be somatic sensing, followed by guided mediation, then art journaling. It will be a warm welcoming space for a small group of up to 6 people . Keep a look out for an events post mid January

I'll also be doing retreat days where you can enjoy learning these techniques and finish the afternoon with a sauna and sound bath.

We will strengthen the relationship with self , building inner awareness and connecting new neural pathways , we will lead with curiosity , non judgment and loving kindness .

You’ve probably felt the feel good sensations of laughter - these joyful sensations translate to real health benefits in the body- by boosting the immune system ,lowering stress hormones and releasing toxins . Even a simple smile releases feel good endorphins. It’s a joyful thought to know that we can choose and create health and wellness within ourselves.

Pausing now and notice home
A place where thoughts are over grown
Breath deep, now release them slow
Notice them rising up , yes let them go
Breathing in one more time
Breath out down through your spine
All the way to the soles of your feet
Breath in again, a smile you greet
From yours lips to your ears ,now whole face smiling

Breath in with love , joy and care

Thank you and well done to all of you who came to library laughter .
Laughing together was really relaxing and calming , I'm so glad that some of you expressed that to me at the end . Not to mention the relaxed body language and smiles 😊I often feel as if I have rose/love coloured glasses on , when breathing deeply and laughing heartily ... Today We talked about the benefits of laughter , we had a gentle warm up , which then flowed into laughter and breathing exercises , finishing off with laughter meditation and relaxation .
If anyone wants a list of today's library laughter session to practice laughter at home , please do in box me .
