Finlay is a prime example of taking each sessions at the dogs individual pace.

Finlay suffers from a hunched posture compensatory to other orthopedic issues.

Finlays first session only involved a couple of needles and was done in his favourite spot looking out the window as this is how he tolerated it best. Finlay also doesn’t like have his legs touched so we focus on his muscle spasms in his back.

By the fourth session Finlay was snoozing away, very content while receiving his acupuncture treatment with needles along the muscles in his back.

Finlays owners report after his sessions he’s been nice and calm and have already noted a change in his behaviour between sessions. He’s much more content.

Each sessions is customized for your pet to ensure they enjoy the process and are not feeling nervous or pressured.

Why choose acupuncture for your dog, cat or horse?

Acupuncture offers an alternative approach to pet health. By stimulating specific points on the body, acupuncture can help alleviate pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall well-being for your beloved companion.

Acupuncture is most known for treating pain within the body, it stimulates the muscle layer to release tension, increase blood flow and stimulate the production of endogenous opioids (natural pain relief). However, it has also been shown to have effects on endocrinological (hormones), immunological and a range of other disorders within body.

Meet Stewie, small but mighty may be best description for this little man.

Stewie suffered from a sore back. After lots of investigations Stewie started a medication and physio regime. Although improvements were made once he started to be weaned off meds, he still wasn’t “quite right”.

Stewie has had four treatment sessions of acupuncture at weekly intervals. Not only has his sore back improved, a leg tremor that was put down to “terrier tremors” has also greatly reduced!

Proof that what animals show us is not always caused by what we initially think, and how acupuncture can be a huge help as an additional therapy!

Wishing Stewie many more pain free visits to the beach 🫶
