Anyone else rubbish at having their picture taken? 👋

Here’s a few “greats” from a little shoot last week, trying to get a new professional photo…just about managed it by the last one!

A lovely recommendation 😌, thank you so much Tia! As in most businesses, passing on the word of a good experience you’ve had with a local company can help support and allow them to grow. Maybe it’s the 20+ years of customer service, but I still get a kick from hearing people’s positive experiences and to know I might have helped!

Well, we did it! I can finally say I have completed my Masters in Osteopathy at the ! 5 years of lost weekends, a lot of road miles, laughing until I cried, and crying until a laughed. Part time study is a strange beast, it almost beat me in 3rd year, and I still can't really comprehend that I've finished?!

It has been challenging on so many levels but for anyone contemplating studying alongside work (or full-time), I will always be an advocate. It is never too late to change career direction or learn something new.

I will be taking a big ol rest for the next month, before starting the next exciting step. Watch this space!!

“The greatest indicator of life span wasn’t genetics, diet, or the amount of daily exercise, as many had suspected. It was lung capacity.”
-James Nestor, Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art

Looking up today, the trees and their vast, weaving branches reminded me of the intricate system of the respiratory system...

I highly recommend reading the above book, Nester drawers on thousands of years of medical texts and recent cutting-edge studies in pulmonology, psychology, biochemistry, and human physiology.

Take a moment now....Put your hand over your heart. Take your breath in slowly, you’re going to feel your heart speed up. Now, exhale slowly. You should be feeling your heart slow down.

The reason is simple. Exhaling is a parasympathetic response. As you inhale, your diaphragm lowers and sucks blood into the thoracic cavity. As you exhale, the blood shoots back out through your body and calms your mental state. Repeat as desired ☺️
