🚶‍♀️ “They said I’d never walk again…”
✨ From Paralysis to Possibility ✨

In October 2022, Sylvia’s life changed when cancer caused tumours to press on her spinal cord, leaving her paralysed from the waist down. Doctors told her walking again was unlikely… but Sylvia had other plans. 💪
After completing chemotherapy in March 2023, she was determined to rebuild her strength. By July, we designed a personalised rehab plan — combining focused sessions and a structured home exercise programme. 🧠💥

Step by step, Sylvia worked tirelessly. Relearning how to stand, balance, and walk again wasn’t easy — it took grit, patience, and countless hours of practice. 👣
Fast forward to 2025… Sylvia walked into her hospital follow-up appointment — leaving her consultant, with over 30 years of experience, completely speechless. 😲💫
🌟 Her journey reminds us that progress is always possible, no matter how unlikely it may seem.
👏 Here’s to Sylvia — for showing what determination, consistency, and courage can truly achieve. 💛

⚡ Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) ⚡
Ever heard of FES⁉️

It’s a powerful tool our physiotherapists use to help activate muscles, improve movement, and support recovery after neurological conditions. 💪🧠
FES can be applied in many ways — it all depends on each person’s unique needs and goals. 🎯
But remember: it’s essential to check for any contraindications 🚫 or precautions ⚠️ before starting.
Every session brings us one step closer to better function and confidence in movement. 💙

🤲 Practicing Hands-On: The Touch That Guides Healing

Our hands are more than tools — they’re the first language of physical therapy. 💬✨
In this moment, our students listen with their fingers 🫱, tuning into subtle responses from the body to guide care with empathy 💙 and precision 🎯.

This work is about connection, trust, and presence. 🌿
By refining our hands-on skills, we unlock deeper assessments 🧠, safer progressions 🦵, and more meaningful treatments 💫.

Each touch becomes a step toward renewed movement, independence, and hope. 🌈

✨ Can everyone really rewire their brain? ✨

The short answer: Yes — but it takes time, repetition, and the right support. 🧠💪
Neuro rehab isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about helping your brain reconnect, adapt, and discover new routes when old ones are damaged. That’s the true power of neuroplasticity. ⚡

At Evoke Neuro Rehab, we design personalized treatment plans to help your brain grow and recover — one step at a time. 💙
Because your brain is always ready to learn again — it just needs the right tools.

🧠✨ Why “just moving” isn’t enough.
Not every movement helps your brain recover — it needs to be purposeful, repetitive, challenging, and meaningful.

At Evoke, we don’t just stretch or lift weights — we help you practice real-life actions that your brain recognizes and learns from: brushing your teeth, putting on a shirt, making a cup of coffee. ☕👕🪥
Because true neurorehab isn’t just about movement — it’s about getting your life back. 💙

What can we say?? We know we are doing something right when Worcestershire Acute Hospital NHS Trust writes an article about the success of our clients!!! So happy!!

A woman who was paralysed following a rare complication of cancer has thanked doctors at Worcestershire Royal Hospital after shocking experts and learning to walk again.

Sylvia was diagnosed with paraplegic lymphoma after our specialists found that non-Hodgkin lymphoma had caused tumours which were compressing her spinal nerve and had left her completely bed bound.

Consultant Haematologist, Dr Salim Shafeek put Sylvia on a strong course of chemotherapy treatment to shrink the tumours on her spinal cord which were causing the paralysis, but her medical team did not expect her to ever walk again.

But many months later, returning for a follow-up appointment recently, Sylvia amazed Dr Shafeek by standing up and walking in the treatment room.

Dr Shafeek said: “It is incredibly rare to walk again once you’re paraplegic – I have never seen it before in my 30-year career. She was completely unable to move for herself and we thought she would never walk again, so to now be standing up and walking around is really incredible.”

🧠 Neuroplasticity isn’t magic — it’s science.

Your brain has the incredible ability to reorganize itself after injury. This process is called neuroplasticity.
✨ How does it work?

-The brain re-routes messages
-Builds new pathways
-Strengthens weaker connections

It’s not instant — but with the right movement, guidance, and challenge, change happens.
At Evoke Neuro Rehab, every session taps into this powerful process. That’s what makes recovery possible. 💙

The exoskeleton for a new movement and rehabilitation concept 🌟

🔵 U.Connect is a simple, intuitive and functional communication interface that allows you to consult and manage the usage data of the UAN.GO device.

🔵 U.Connect displays travel times, distances, speeds and how to use the device. The data is securely saved on a dashboard that also allows for the automatic generation of clinical reports.

🔵 Through U.Connect you can track and monitor patient progress, store all session data in one place, control, set up and customize future sessions for your patient's individual needs. This application also allows access to an online resource library.
