🎃🕸️ WOODBORO’S HALLOWEEN HAUNT WAS A SCREAM! 🕷️👻

From creepy cobwebs to devilish delights, our Halloween Party was a frightfully fantastic success! Huge thanks to our spooktacular staff who gave up their time, brought supplies, and summoned the spirit of the season with heart and humour. You made the magic happen!

A ghostly round of applause to the Just Singers for serenading us with spine-tingling tunes, and to all the family members who joined the fun—you brought warmth, laughter, and a whole lot of love to our haunted halls.

It was a day of joy, connection, and community (with just the right amount of mischief). Until next year… stay spooky! 🦇🧙‍♀️🧛‍♂️

Join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

🕗 Shift Details:
• 2 nights per week (8pm–8am)
• Includes every other weekend
• 24 hours per week

💼 Duties Include:
• Providing personal care with dignity and respect
• Supporting residents with daily routines
• Carrying out cleaning and laundry tasks
• Creating a safe, comfortable environment

💷 Pay: £12.21 per hour

🍰 A Sweet Success – Thanks to You All! 💛

Yesterday’s cake sale at the home was nothing short of brilliant, thanks to every single one of you who baked, bought, brewed tea, or simply turned up with a smile and a sweet tooth.

The atmosphere was great, the cakes were flying off the table and the generosity was overflowing.

We haven’t quite finished counting the pennies yet as some donations are still trickling in but every crumb and coin is going towards a cause that means the world to us.

This fundraiser was held in memory of my dad, one of our much-loved handymen, who sadly lost his fight with cancer.

To our incredible staff: you never fail to show up with heart, humour, and hustle. And to our lovely visitors: thank you for making the day feel like a proper community hug.

We’ll share the final total soon but for now, just know you’ve made a difference. And yes, we’re still accepting donations and any left over bits of cake.

Woodboro’s got more layers than a marble cake and more heart than a red velvet sponge 💛 Join us at 1pm for a sweet celebration with a serious purpose.

On the menu? Oh, just a casual lineup of legends:
- Victoria sponge (she’s royalty for a reason)
- Chocolate brownies (fudgy little show-offs)
- Banoffee pie (banana + toffee = yes please)
- Cupcakes in red velvet and vanilla (because we’re not choosing)
- Double-layered marble cake (for the indecisive sweet tooth)
- Drip cake (dripping in style)
- Banana bread (pretending to be healthy)
- Carrot cake (with extra sass)
- Coffee & walnut (for the grown-ups)
- Lemon drizzle (zesty and proud)
- Chocolate cake (classic never goes out of style)
- Old school traybake (nostalgia in every bite)

🧁 Every slice sold helps raise funds for , who’s bravely battling stage 4 cancer. This fundraiser also honours the memory of Nicola’s dad. One of Woodboro’s beloved handyman, who we lost last Christmas. His legacy lives on in every nail, every laugh, and today… every bite.

So come hungry, come generous, and come ready to make a difference. Let’s turn cake into kindness. 💙

🌟 Kitchen Inspection Success at Woodboro 🌟
We’re proud to share that Woodboro has once again achieved the highest possible rating 5 out of 5 in today’s kitchen inspection.

A special thank you to Wendy, who led the inspection with confidence, attention to detail, and genuine pride in our kitchen team.

And of course, a huge thank you to our brilliant kitchen staff. Your hard work, consistency, and care make a real difference every single day. We’re lucky to have such a dedicated team behind the scenes.

🎉 Mamma Mia, what a day! 🎉
We danced, we sang, we scoffed cake and thanks to all you fabulous folks, we also raised a brilliant £282 on our raffle and £150 on our cake sale at the Woodboro Summer BBQ! 💃🧁🎟️

Whether you bought a ticket, baked a treat, or just came along for the ABBA-solute joy of it all, we’re so grateful. Every penny goes straight into creating more fun, meaningful activities for our wonderful residents. 💛
