Wivenhoe Eyes Open Wivenhoe Eyes Open was originally known as Wivenhoe Eye Care and was established by Jane and Stuart We also welcome NHS patients.

We are an independent, family run opticians which first opened in 2004. The practice was setup by Jane and Stuart Lee who built the business up from scratch. In 2018, the practice was passed to James Hanks FBDO, who has been a qualified dispensing optician for over 15 years. We have a wealth of experienced Optometrists and optical associates, who can assist you with all your optical needs. We provide a detailed eye examination, complete with retinal photography to thoroughly assess the health of your eyes and your spectacle needs.

Our Story

We are an independent, family run optician's which first opened in 2004 so we are now in our 14th year of trading. The practice was setup by Jane and Stuart Lee who built the business up from scratch. As of August 2015 their son Samuel Lee has now qualified as a dispensing optician. There will always be either Jane Lee FBDO CL or Samuel Lee FBDO in practice who can assist you with all your optical needs along with our experienced and friendly Optometrists.
