If it's going to be, it's up to me!
Demand more from yourself than you demand from the world.
The world is unpredictable. People promise and disappoint. Opportunities come late or not at all. Circumstances change without warning. If you build your expectations on external things, you’ll spend most of your life frustrated, waiting, or blaming. But when you raise the standard for your own effort, everything shifts.
Others may fail you. Systems may break. Plans may fall apart. But your effort, your discipline, your consistency, your willingness to keep showing up, never betrays you. Even when results are slow, effort compounds. Even when no one is watching, effort is quietly shaping who you become.
Think of yourself like a tree. Storms will come. Some days the sun will shine, other days the wind will be brutal. You don’t get to choose the weather. But you do get to strengthen your roots. Deep roots don’t panic during storms. They don’t beg the sky to be kinder. They grow anyway.
Your progress doesn’t depend on perfect conditions. It depends on what you do when conditions are far from perfect. It depends on how well you prepare, how consistently you work, and how committed you remain when motivation fades.
Stop asking the world to make it easier. Ask yourself to become stronger. Stop waiting for fairness. Start building resilience. When you demand more from yourself, you stop being a victim of circumstances and start becoming the author of your own growth.
Grow your roots. Let the storms come. 🌱🌪️
