Massive congratulations to .moffatt.58 and at today’s 🇬🇧

Aaron made a return to running again this year after a 7 year absence from racing. With two great tune up races building into an outstanding 2:54:49🔥 at today’s race.

Sophie made her own piece of history by completing her first ever marathon in 5:17:00 🔥 Sophie described it as the hardest thing she has ever done. This is why the marathon is special. It takes courage to start and guts to finish. Welcome to the marathon club Sophie 🤩

The London Marathon is one of the most iconic days in sport and today our runners were a part of history as the 2 hour barrier was broken.l to set a new world record.

It was a hot day but it provided the usual electric roar crossing Tower Bridge to the unforgettable finish on The Mall, every mile lined with relentless support. Bringing together world-class elites, first-time runners, and thousands running for causes bigger than themselves. It’s really is a special race to be part of

Taper time …. another training block done. This doesn’t mean the taper is just as important but the bulk of the work is done. Now is time to freshen up and sharpen the blade.

Medal Monday. At the weekend we had runners collecting bling at the London Landmarks half marathon, Larne 10miler and Sperrin Harriers Half. Well done to everyone getting out there and giving it their best on the day. Everyone chasing their own goals and finish lines 🫶🏻
“I also realize that winning doesn’t always mean getting first place; it means getting the best out of yourself.”

Thanks to everyone who joined in the fun of the predictions yesterday. My chip time at the Sperrin Harriers 20th Anniversary Half marathon was 1:23:39 for 8th place overall.
I ran to HR (175-185bpm) and feel factoring in the terrain, wind and upcoming marathon. Once I got into the race and realised just how much climbing there was I was really glad I took this approach as it lead to a good overall race and all round better experience.
With a warm up and cool down I had an overall 18mi.

Thanks to Sperrin Harriers for a well organised race 🤝

Predict my finish time at tomorrow’s Sperrin Harriers Half marathon. You don’t win anything other than knowing you are a running guru. For context I’m running 55 miles per week, have ran 32 miles this week pre race, the course is quite hilly and Strava is predicting a 1:22:41. What’s your guess ? Drop comment below 👇🏻

is always a popular race on the NI running calendar. A Well organised event and a great opportunity to tune up for the Spring marathons. Lucky this winter had all our runners well prepared for today’s wet and windy conditions. With some great runs and personal best performances 👏🏻👏🏻
