From 1 July we are reintroducing mask wearing in clinical areas at Kettering General Hospital.

Visitors, patients and colleagues are asked to wear masks when inside clinical areas of the hospital. This includes both inpatient and outpatient areas and anywhere you may receive clinical care. Visiting restrictions will not change.

As a precautionary measure, government agencies are advising anyone currently pregnant to make sure that any smoked fish – such as smoked salmon or trout - has been thoroughly cooked before eating.

This is due to a Listeria infection linked to smoked fish, and this contamination can be particularly unsafe for pregnant women.
