I have been craving the salad dressing from my favorite teppanyaki restaurant in California, Sh**un. I found a recipe for it and needless to say I’ve almost finished the batch I made just last night. For any of you who love the dressing as much as I do, try the recipe below and let me know what you think! 😛

We can pretend for now, that we are out to eat at out favorite restaurants but we are able to tweak recipes and make them a tad bit more healthy! 👌🏽

Japanese Restaurant Style Ginger Salad Dressing

Ingredients
7 ounces carrots (peeled and chopped )
4 ounces onion (peeled and finely chopped)
2 tablespoons ginger (peeled and finely chopped)
1 tablespoon coconut sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce (I used liquid aminos)
1/2 cup rice vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup organic olive oil

Instructions
1) Put all the ingredients except for the olive oil in a blender and blend until smooth.

2) Slowly add the oil and blend until the mixture has emulsified.

3) Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

A throw in whatever you’ve got, type of juice. 🤤

🥬🍎🥒🍋🍐🍅🧄
5-6 stalks of kale
1 cucumber
1 bunch of celery
1 Apple
1 pear
I lemon
2 cloves of garlic
2 tomatoes
1 red bell pepper
Handful of parsley

This made exactly 32 ounces. 👌🏽

Food is the way to my heart. This is a fact I think most people know about me. 🐷

Since moving back to land I have so enjoyed learning how to cook (skill that I definitely lacked).

This morning as I sat down to eat my breakfast I realized just how much I have grown and learned about the importance of healthy food both on and off the plate!

Never underestimate the power of what you are consuming. Every bite you take, every sip you drink is either feeding disease or fighting it.

Real food can reduce inflammation, balance hormones, enhance brain function and even improve the microbiome.

Food is the most powerful tool we have to take control of our health! 👊🏽

3 of the things I had for breakfast were made right here in my kitchen: kombucha, sprouts and fermented cabbage. 🤤

Wednesday’s are now a day I look forward to each week. This is the day we get our weekly delivery from Riverford. To have an organic farm 2 hours away from us that delivers weekly (for free) with very minimal plastic is a dream come true.

Bumblebees are not designed to fly. It’s body is too heavy for its light wings, wings that should not be able to keep it in the air. Bumblebees refuse to accept their limitations. It flies in spite of what it’s been told it cannot do. It knows it’s strength.
Be a bumblebee. 🐝
