Quite busy at the moment as we approach spring (hurrah !!) - such a lovely variety of work - supporting people in their own homes and promoting everyday independence.

I am currently helping 6 people ranging from regular breakfast and lunchtime visits - some daily afternoon visits to a care home so a couple can see each other each day as they have for the last 75 years ! and also a lovely lady I currently support as sleep in nights for 3 nights a week while she is in post operative recovery.

I have a client looking for someone for companionship, meal prep, shopping and errands that can offer daily hours as I am unable to do any more for them at the moment and happy to help find someone to take over my role.

He is a 93 year old gent, recently bereaved who is lonely and wants to remain at home - he doesn’t need any personal care and is still very independent with trips out on his mobility scooter and keen to garden when the weather is good.

One of my most frequent mantras for myself and especially to those I care for (all of them octogenarians and over ) was advice passed on to me from my Aunty Jean (my grandmothers cousin) and that was to “always keep moving”

Today marks this man turning 100 and is a definite testament to that mantra - Happy Birthday to Dick Van D**e 🎂
