💜 World Prematurity Day 2025 💜

Today, we join families and healthcare teams around the world to mark World Prematurity Day - a day dedicated to raising awareness and supporting babies born too soon, and the incredible families who care for them.

👶 1 in 10 babies is born preterm (before 37 weeks).
These tiny fighters often face challenges early in life, and the right support, care and compassion can make all the difference.

At UHCW, our Neonatal and Maternity teams are committed to giving every preterm baby the strongest start possible by providing:
✨ Specialist neonatal care
✨ Family-centred support
✨ Skin-to-skin contact and breastfeeding support
✨ A gentle, nurturing environment where families are truly welcomed as partners in care

💜 Today we celebrate the bravery of premature babies, and we honour the strength of their parents, carers and families.
We also recognise our dedicated staff who work tirelessly to care for some of our smallest patients.
