Free Online Youth Mental Health First Aid Training – Argyll & Bute

Do you support children and young people in Argyll and Bute? This fully funded training will give you the knowledge and confidence to recognise mental health challenges and provide effective support.

Who can join?
Education staff, HSCP staff, GPs, primary care teams, youth group leaders, volunteers, and third sector staff – anyone who works with or supports young people.

What you’ll gain:
Spot the signs of common mental health problems such as depression, self-harm, eating disorders, and bullying

Support young people in crisis, including those experiencing panic attacks or suicidal thoughts
Apply the First Aid Action Plan for mental health
Understand how to connect young people with local resources and professional help

Course details:
SCQF Level 5 accredited (subject to assessment)
Delivered via Zoom across three sessions – all must be attended

Fully funded by Argyll & Bute HSCP

As part of our Budget Consultation process we have arranged an online engagement event where you can hear more about the pressures facing health and social care services, ask questions, and share your views on proposed changes.

This online session is over and above the concluded in-person drop sessions. This informal online session will be facilitated by HSCP managers aiming to be relaxed, welcoming, and focused on listening. There is no presentation and you don't have to stay for the whole session.
