As tempting as it is to share, many traditional holiday snacks can make cats and dogs very unwell.

Here are the big ones to watch out for:

❌ Chocolate – toxic to both dogs and cats
❌ Raisins, sultanas & grapes – found in mince pies & Christmas cake (highly dangerous)
❌ Onions, garlic & leeks – common in stuffing and gravy
❌ Xylitol – a sweetener hidden in some desserts and peanut butters
❌ Alcohol – even small amounts can be harmful
❌ Leftover bones – can splinter and cause serious internal injuries
❌ Rich, fatty foods – can trigger pancreatitis in dogs
