You know what does more for your nervous system than an hour of spiralling?

A 10-minute walk.
Or sitting under a tree with a cuppa.
Or stepping outside and letting the air hit your face for a bit.

I know it feels like you need to think your way out of stress, but the most helpful thing you can do is stop thinking and do something small instead.

I always say that reflexology gives your body an hour to ground, rest and re-regulate and the effects go well beyond that hour.
But between sessions, when your head’s a little noisy or your chest is tight and your thoughts are all over the place, this is what I recommend…

🤍 Please go outside without a podcast or a phone call and without tracking steps.

🤍Allow the cold air to touch your face, listen to the crunch under your feet and enjoy the sound of the wind. Focus on anything that gets you out of your head and back into your body.

🤍Trust me - it works and it’s free!

🤍It is simple but on occasion, simple is all we need!

I’m here for when you would like to book in,

The cold and flu season is creeping in… and a few people have asked lately if reflexology can help.

Short answer: yes, but ideally before the full-on sniffling, sneezing and tissues-everywhere phase kicks in!

There are specific reflex points on the feet linked to the lungs, sinuses, trachea and lymphatic system and working on those can really help give your body a boost.

The focus isn’t to cure the cold, but to support your immune system and give your body the best chance of fighting things off BEFOREHAND.

✨ That said, and this is said with love, please don’t bring your germs to me!

I’ll always be happy to see you… but maybe not when you’re full of cold and coughing your head off!

Rest at home and we’ll find another time when you’re feeling better.

However if you’re feeling good - book in and support your body and give it the best chance to fight anything that may come our way this winter,

Do you have swollen feet in pregnancy?

During pregnancy, your body produces a lot more fluid.

Did you know your blood volume increases by around 40–50%? This means your lymphatic system, which normally clears that fluid out, has a lot more to deal with.

Add in the pressure from the growing uterus on major veins and it’s no wonder fluid starts to build up in the feet, ankles and lower legs.

By the end of the day, it can feel like your shoes don’t fit, your legs are heavy and everything feels a bit tight and uncomfortable.

Reflexology can support this in a gentle, non-invasive way.

It works by stimulating points on the feet that are linked to the lymphatic system and circulation.
The aim is to encourage fluid movement, reduce swelling and give the body a nudge back towards balance, without adding any strain.

Clients often say their feet feel lighter, less puffy and more comfortable afterwards.
Some notice the difference straight away, while others just enjoy the fact they’ve had an hour to lie down and switch off.

And to be honest, both are valuable.

If your body’s starting to feel the weight of pregnancy, physically or emotionally, reflexology might be exactly what you need.

Message me if you’ve got any questions or want to book a session.
I’ll be right here (with a warm towel and a quiet room).

Did you know your brain doesn’t need danger to feel afraid? It can feel the same as being chased by a lion from just a vivid imagination. Madness, isn’t it?

You can be sitting doing nothing and still feel tense, restless or on edge.
That feeling is worry.
When you’re stuck in it often enough, your brain starts to treat those thoughts as facts.
It becomes your default, even when there’s nothing actually wrong.

And that’s why I love reflexology.

Reflexology works with the nervous system in a subtle but powerful way.

By applying pressure to specific points on the feet, we’re sending signals to different areas of the body, encouraging calm, balance, and regulation.

Over time, this helps to:

🧠 lower stress hormones
đź’¤ improve sleep
đź’“ soothe the fight-or-flight response
🌿 shift your body into rest-and-digest mode

When your body regularly experiences this kind of calm, your brain starts to believe it’s safe too and you start responding, rather than reacting.

Unfortunately, you cannot easily think your way out of stress.
But when your body feels safe, your mind starts to catch up.

Reflexology gives you that chance to breathe, rest and come back to yourself.

If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed or as if your brain won’t switch off, this is your sign to try something different. Book a session to let your system breathe.

Message me to book or ask any questions, you’re always welcome.

… care?

People often ask how I went from midwifery to reflexology.

I wanted to carry on supporting people in a way that felt calm, hands on and genuinely useful.

As a midwife, I saw the impact stress and anxiety had on the body in pregnancy, during labour and in the weeks after. I also saw how powerful alternative treatments could be when used alongside medical care. Implementing the correct support, at the right time, made all the difference.

That’s what sparked my interest in reflexology.

It’s based on the idea that different points on the feet are linked to areas and systems in the body. By working on those points, you can help the nervous system settle, improve circulation, support hormone function and give the body a chance to regulate itself again.

It’s not just helpful in pregnancy, reflexology can support you through all stages of life.

It doesn’t replace medical care (and I’d never suggest it should), but it can be a brilliant companion to whatever other support you’re receiving.

Sometimes the most helpful thing you can offer someone is a quiet room, warm towel and the chance to lie down and feel properly looked after.

Your brain doesn’t believe what’s true, it believes what’s familiar.

If you are used to telling yourself you’re not doing enough, that you’re too much, too sensitive or just not coping, your brain will start to treat that as fact, even when it’s not.

- Your thoughts shape your feelings.
- Your feelings shape your actions.
- Those actions start to shape who you think you are.

That’s why negative thought loops can be so powerful as they don’t just stay in your head.
They affect your nervous system, your mood, your habits, your self-worth.

However, you can change it and rewire how your brain responds to build a different inner story.

This won’t work when you’re stressed and stuck in survival mode, nor when your body is on edge and your nervous system feels like it’s holding its breath.

You can’t think your way out of a feeling, BUT you can feel your way to new thinking.

Reflexology gives you that window and space where your body calms, your breath slows and your mind becomes quiet enough to see things differently.

It might feel magical but really it is your nervous system finally getting what it needs to reset.
