Day Lewis Pharmacy is one of the UK & Europe’s largest independent pharmacy chains, providing essential healthcare to communities across England. Founded by the late Kirit Patel MBE and his brother JC Patel in 1975, with the purchase of their very first pharmacy in Southborough, the Day Lewis Group has grown to over 260 pharmacies in the UK today. The family business is now led by highly experience management team that includes Kirit’s children, Jay, Rupa and Sam Patel, supported by his brother J.C. Throughout its dynamic history in community pharmacy, Day Lewis has advanced from being a traditional retail pharmacy business, dispensing medication and offering retail products, into a patient-orientated service provider.

Today we had the honour of celebrating our Co-Founder JC Patel as he turned 80 years young. ❤️
 
The timing couldn’t be better as this comes just after we marked 50 years of , a milestone that simply wouldn’t exist without the foundations JC laid and the values he has carried with him from day one.
 
JC shared a few words and of course no birthday at Day Lewis is complete without cake. We’re pretty sure we could have squeezed all 80 candles on there if we tried! 😂
 
Happy 80th Birthday JC. Thank you for everything you have built, inspired and shared with us over the years.

What a truly inspiring weekend we’ve had at the 2025 Day Lewis Pharmacy Conference, made even more meaningful as we proudly celebrate our 50th anniversary this year. Coming together to mark this incredible milestone filled every moment with pride, community and a deep sense of family.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible. A special shout-out to our marketing team and Principal. Global Events for their outstanding work and support in making this celebration one to remember.

And of course, a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful colleagues, suppliers, sponsors, and key stakeholders for joining us, sharing in our story, and continuing to empower the Day Lewis legacy.
