Flow and Feel Yoga Yoga to make you feel good. Ashtanga vinyasa classes in Worthing.
7.15-8am Fridays
yoga No frills or chanting. 21st century stuff.

The benefits of yoga are too vast to measure and have to be experienced to be believed but (2000 years in a nutshell) essentially yoga provides a toolkit that teaches us how to become content with our lives as they are and sprinkles of bit of magic and peace into an otherwise jam-packed and restless world. Yoga classes with Daisy are fast-paced but mindful and will help you get out of your head and into your body. Yoga away your trouble using elements including moving your body, breathing, focusing and just be-ing, classes are aimed to help you chill on and off the mat and generally kick ass in life. Why do I call this a ‘mum-friendly’ yoga class?

Whilst this class is not at all exclusive for mums (or women), I know first hand how hard it can be for mums to find any time for themselves.

Life just goes on. And on. And sometimes (even though in theory we know we deserve time to stop) we prioritise everyone but ourselves. Who’s the last person to eat breakfast? Mums. Who’s the one feeding through the night even though she can’t see straight? Mums. Yet we keep giving. Our children are our heart and our love is our joy. But sometimes, just sometimes. We owe it to ourselves as mothers and humans and people. To just pause and find some time to ourselves.

I sometimes say to my husband, even just 10 minutes before doing the bedtime run can make me feel better.

My hope with this class is that mums can sneak away. Leave dads or family or friends with the kids for just under an hours and while away some time for you. To make you feel like you again. Ready to face the day energised, connected and confident.

No one can do it all. So here’s me giving you permission to treat yourself like you would a friend or a child. With kindness, compassion and hopefully a big dollop of fun!

Hope to see you Friday ❤️

Why Flow and Feel?

Well, first of all I’m a big feeler. Much like my daughter! I feel things deeply and can sometimes be too empathetic. But primarily because when I’m on the mat I do all my best feeling - and thinking. I can be stuck on something and when I take to the mat things become clear to me. Great ideas present themselves. Things I’ve been worrying about either fade away or solutions come forward. It’s the magical power of yoga. That perfect combination of moving and breathing to music, in the company of others who are also moving with you.

The sense of flow is so important to me and my understanding of yoga. Much like the waves that come and go 🌊 yoga teaches us to balance good and bad. To manifest and invite in the good, yes. But also to expect, and but feel prepared for the bad. Ashtanga yoga talks about samadhi. It has been called enlightenment. To me samadhi means not being *as* affected by things. And that can mean being level headed or calm. Also kind of a ‘water off a ducks back’ 🦆 mentality.

I can feel toppled easily. I can be having a great day and someone might says something and it’ll totally throw me. I can really struggle to shift that feeling of sadness or rejection. So Samadhi to me is about aspiring to embrace the wave. Accepting that life is good and bad, night and day, yin and yang.

It’s a hard concept when all we are conditioned to want is happiness. Experiencing unhappiness can feel like a failure. But it’s one of the many teachings of yoga I adore. Embrace it all. The waves will keep on coming 🌊❤️ you can weather the sun and the rain, you are strong. And you are soft 🌹

What to expect from my yoga classes: 🌸

5-10 min warmup: child’s pose, gentle stretching, setting an intention for the class.

25-30 minutes: flowing movement, loosely made up of 10 minutes sun salutations, 10 minutes standing sequence, 5-10 minutes balancing sequence

5-10 minutes: seating postures, cooling stretches and wiggles, reflecting on intention, savasana and closing 🌻

Absolutely no party tricks. If you can breathe in time with movement, you can do my yoga. I take inspiration from the ancient ashtanga limbs of yoga so will often draw on ancient yogi wisdom as it’s just as relevant today as it was 2000 years ago.

Music in yoga is huge for me, so the music will start chilled for the first 10 minutes, then become more pacey in the middle and returning to more mellow, calming music towards the end.

Yoga is a lifeline for me, I hope my classes will act as a vessel for it to be for you too 🍄🪸🌗

Hi Daisy here 👋

I’ve been a beach babe ever since I can remember. North Wales, Hove, Spain, Devon, Dorset, Alderney have all had a place in my heart. But it wasn’t until we moved to Worthing in March 2023 that I finally realised my dream of living by the sea 🌊

I’m so chuffed to be raising my two toddlers here, Alba who is 3 and Otto who is 1. I love that they’ll grow up with the ocean on their doorstep and whenever and wherever the see the sea they’ll feel like they’re home.

I’m so excited to be starting up a yoga class in my new home and can’t wait to meet some friendly faces and hopefully help you slow down, move your body, breathe, release and feel good.

First class is Jan 19th. Booking link:

Had a wonderful class today with 4 gorgeous baby yogis: Lily, Sophie, Harper and Thomas (and Alba instructing of course.)

This week was inspired by fluidity, flexibility and water. Not necessarily body flexibility - but fluidity in the mind. The ability to let things go, ‘go with the flow’ and change and adapt as life throws various things at us. From babies with minds of their own, to the long list of things that sometimes don’t go our way.

We moved through some wiggly planks, nice hip opening lizard 🦎 lunges and pigeon poses 🐦 (squeezed a ninja squat in too), ending in a savasana to the dulcet tones of

A huge thank you to our newest yogis Harper and Sarah, and auntie Nicola Matthews who kept Alba busy while I forgot my sling (eek) as all Alba wants to do is stand😂
