We’re more connected than ever — phones, tablets, emails, notifications 24/7 📱💻

But Global Day of Unplugging encourages us to press pause… and power down.

It’s all about stepping away from screens for 24 hours and reconnecting with what really matters:

🎲 Family time
🧠 Quiet moments with your own thoughts

Instead of scrolling, why not:
✨ Take a slow walk and really notice what’s around you
✨ Meet a friend for coffee (phones away!)

We actually do a “No Screen Sunday” morning — and it’s such a lovely way to switch off from tech and spend proper time together 💛

🌟 NEW After School Sessions – Trial Launch! 🌟

We’re excited to announce that we will be trialling After School Sessions after the Easter holidays! 🎉

📅 First session: 22nd April
⏰ Two booking options:
• 1 Hour: 3:15pm – 4:15pm
• 2 Hours: 3:15pm – 5:15pm

⚠️ Spaces must be booked online and places will be limited, so make sure you secure your spot early!

These sessions are a trial to see if after school sessions are helpful and something families would like us to run regularly. Your support and bookings will help us decide if we continue them! 💛

British Science Week 2026 will take place from 6th March to 15th March, with this year’s exciting theme: “Change and Adapt.”

Organised by the British Science Association, the week inspires learners of all ages — from Early Years right through to Secondary — to explore, experiment, and discover the wonders of science both in and out of the classroom.

Across the UK, schools, community groups, and cultural centres get involved with:
🧪 Hands-on experiments
🌍 Inspiring activities and investigations
👩‍🔬 Learning about famous scientists and their discoveries
🎉 Special events supported by community grants

With over one million people taking part each year, it’s one of the UK’s biggest celebrations of science!

Middlen name day

When a child is born, so much love and thought goes into choosing their name — and today we’re celebrating the middle ones! 💛

Did you know that having more than one given name goes all the way back to Ancient Rome? Over time, middle names became a way to honour family members, preserve surnames, or add a little extra flair. Even figures like Harry S. Truman made the middle initial famous!
