Iona Lawson Hypnotherapy - Solution Focused Hypnotherapy I'm a Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist working both online and face to face I graduated as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist from CPHT in Edinburgh.

Using a highly effective combination of positive psychotherapy alongside hypnotherapy (a wonderful relaxation technique), this talking therapy is combined with practical, well-researched strategies to help you make significant, positive changes in your life. During the Initial Consultation, I explain the science behind how the brain works so you will be able to understand how and why this process is so effective. It's all about retraining the brain, helping people move from a negative thought pattern to a positive one. CPHT is considered as one of the UK’s leading Hypnotherapy Schools. I have both the Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH) and the Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) – only 20% of hypnotherapists have the HPD qualification. I'm a member of the Association of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). I'm fully insured and DBS checked. Childhood can be full of joy and discovery — but it can also bring its own set of worries, pressures, and challenges.

Many children today experience anxiety, low confidence, sleep difficulties, or struggles with change, and as parents or caregivers, it can be hard to know how best to support them.
This is where Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH) can gently make a difference.

SFH is a positive, future-focused approach that helps children develop healthier thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and build resilience — all in a calm, supportive environment. Struggling to get a good night’s sleep? Here are some simple, science-backed tips to help you wake up refreshed:

✅ 1. Set a Sleep Schedule
Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day—even on weekends.

✅ 2. Limit Screen Time Before Bed
Blue light from phones and TVs can mess with your body’s melatonin production. Try to unplug at least 30–60 minutes before sleep.

✅ 3. Create a Sleep-Friendly Environment
Keep your bedroom cool, dark, and quiet. Blackout curtains and white noise can make a big difference.

It’s probably about time that I introduced myself again. I’m Iona Lawson, a qualified Solution Focused hypnotherapist dedicated to helping people make positive, lasting changes in their lives.

Through hypnotherapy, I support clients with challenges like stress, anxiety, low confidence, habits they’d like to break, and fears that hold them back (and much more). My approach is calm, compassionate, and tailored to each individual — because no two journeys are the same.
