Through the evidence-based pillars of Lifestyle Medicine: Movement, Healthy Food, Restorative Sleep, Stress Management and Connection- I will help you build a balanced lifestyle that improves your wellbeing and is realistic for you in your current circumstances. My work is grounded in science — with a background as a Dentist and a Diploma in Lifestyle Medicine — I will inspire and guide you to make lasting positive lifestyle change that will help you get the most out of your life. I was a dentist for 10 years before I decided to follow my passion for wellbeing and retrain as a Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner and Health Coach. I have an expert understanding of the science behind lifestyle interventions, the body and a deep interest in human behaviour. I am empathic, patient and kind - these values mean you can rest assured that if you work with me you will always be heard and never judged. Ah, I love a quote that slows me down a bit.

And I love to run outdoorsy events that help women slow down and appreciate the small things too.

🌿The Fresh Air Collective is a club for outdoor-loving businesswomen to gather, connect, have a laugh and prioritise their health.

👉It’s so easy for us to get caught up in the ‘busyness’ of business that we often forget what’s important.

We forget to be present and enjoy the *process*

(Which, let’s be honest, is actually the majority of life! 😂)

We had our final Fresh Air Collective meet on Friday at the ever amazing

🥾 Starting with our favourite hike across the hills - because fresh air and movement regulates the nervous system and lets chat flow.

☕️ We returned to the Barley House for great coffee and settled in beside the fire for an inspiring and emotive talk from the amazing

🌱Mel is so relatable and never fails to instil energy in the room when she speaks - lots of ideas sparked for 2026 and beyond.

🥗 Finishing off with a nourishing Christmas Lunch with a twist - incredible meal provided by

🥂 and of course some glasses of ‘bubbly’ to celebrate from

What a day - 26 genuinely wonderful women all cheerleading, supporting and laughing together.

Always follow the data, not your mood.

Reflecting back on a month that felt dreary at times - but there was so much beauty in it too. 💫

Community events and family trips.

Time spent with the people I value most.

Birthdays and date days.

Plus lots of time spent outside in nature. 🌿

👉We had in person events with the Fresh Air Collective (that light up my very soul).

A brilliant netwalking event with great food and coffee and such an inspiring speaker 🩷

And my first event hosted at my home for the FAC members - hike, sauna, lunch and a beautiful cacao ceremony by the ever amazing

Love that cheeky sauna at my hoose for the week - epic heat and frosty plunges! 🔥❄️

Rounded out the month with a little creative time doodling ideas for how I see the Fresh Air collective feeling in 2026… 🎨 🖊️ excited for positive change .studio 👀

I’ve loved connecting with our members and other amazing women in person, online and at local events this past month - there are so many interesting, kind, talented people in our corner of Scotland 💙

So folks, the take home is track data over dopamine - enjoy the little wins and make sure to cherish life.

Officially stepping down from the unpaid seasonal role of ‘Chief Everything Officer.’ 🫡

👉🎄’Tis the season to…put ourselves at the bottom of the list in favour of everything and everyone else. 🤣🙈

But I’ve decided this festive season gets to be lighter, slower and real. 💫

So many women I speak to are feeling the overwhelm creeping in already, but I’m here to remind you it doesn’t have to be perfect for it to be meaningful.

This year I plan to block out the noise, work at my own pace and get out of my head and into my body.

I’ll maintain my movement, get outside when I can, talk to my friends, be present with my kids, create a few wee festive things and remember it’s not a competition or a race.

Do what makes you happy, cut the extra fluff and keep it simple ✌️

Values > volume. In every way.

Hi, my name is Alice and I’m a Health + Wellness Coach 🤸‍♀️ I founded the Fresh Air Collective when I felt lonely as an entrepreneur and knew that the usual networking environments didn’t quite sing to me.

I love fresh air, movement, dog cuddles, easy people, free flowing conversation, sunshine and rain, connecting and collaborating.

And so…the Fresh Air Collective was born.

We have become a bit of a club for the outsiders who want to grow their business, make useful connections and look after their health and mental state in the process!

We offer:

Tips from a recovering perfectionist to reframe failure ⤵️🌿

Because failing is sometimes a necessary step in reaching your ultimate goal. 🏆

Hi there 👋 my name’s Alice! I’m a Dentist turned Health Coach running fun, outdoorsy events in rural Fife, Scotland.

Back to why 👉 failure is key for success.

I used to believe failure was bad/wrong/meant I wouldn’t be loved…all the things.

It’s only in the last 5 years, on this scrappy journey of creating a business, working on myself + trying new things, that I discovered…

🚨SPOILER ALERT: that wasn’t the case.

I learnet failure ultimately means growth.

Every person who has ever succeeded at their goals has had *many* failures on their path to success.

You can’t push at growth edges, create solutions or design new ideas without a little pressure.

If we always stay in our *comfort zone* then we never truly find out the peak of what we can achieve.

😮‍💨We stay safe, sure.

That’s what our brain wants us to do! 🙌

But we don’t truly achieve what we have the potential to.

🏆The reframe is to see failing as:

✔️ an opportunity to tap into a growth mindset - what could be done differently next time to improve the outcome? (NB not getting drawn into “I suck at everything + I think I’ll go + eat worms” 🐛😆)

✔️ a chance to ensure you’re setting SMART goals that aren’t too big of a leap from your current circumstance (aka if your on the couch, don’t enter a marathon straight off the bat 🏃‍♀️😘).

✔️ a time to exercise some self compassion and realise that you failed because you 👏tried 👏something 👏difficult! And that’s ok. It’s learning to enjoy the process of *trying* that is the true reward.

What would happen if you started seeing failure as feedback, not a verdict?

🌿Everything is easier with support + accountability to make sure you get back up + try again…

Starting a health journey from scratch. 👇

Sometimes there is so much NOISE out there that even the professional healthcare peeps are saying:

“I’m getting confused!” 🫤

Hi 👋 I’m Alice! I’m a dentist turned health and wellness coach who likes to run outdoorsy events in Scotland and gather likeminded people for a good time.

Follow along for more inspo! 🌿

Anyway 👉 I wanted to write this post to help anyone sift through the noise and get a few SIMPLE healthy lifestyle ideas that are:

✔️ actionable
✔️ buildable
✔️ and sustainable in virtually any circumstances.

If I were truly rebuilding from scratch I would pick ONE small thing to change.

SIMPLICITY IS QUEEN 👸

Here, I’ve given small ideas for positive change in each one of the pillars of lifestyle medicine, which I use as my coaching framework:

But to make it even easier you could try just one of these changes each week and build upon it.

It may seem ridiculously small, but that means you’ll manage it.

And success breeds 👉 yep, you guessed it… MORE SUCCESS!

🥾 MOVE:
Walk outside every day (ideally for minimum 20 mins at a brisk pace)

🍏 EAT:
Add 2 x extra veg into the easiest dish you know how to make and then choose when in the week you will bag the ingredients + what night you’ll cook it. *Bonus: eat it screen free*

SLEEP:
The foundations of a well-lived life depend on the recharging and repairing we do during sleep. Don’t scrimp on it. Leave tech out of the bedroom + bring bedtime forward by 30 minutes.

CONNECT:
The longest running study in the world shows the happiest people are the ones with solid, true friendships. Connection lifts us up, it’s innately human. *bonus: do it in real life!*

RELAX:
If you leave stress to drip into your system unchecked you will feel it physically + mentally. Time to STOP ✋ slow down + look up. Start with 1 minute a day to do something you find peaceful.

These things are simple, but hard to maintain if they are new.

👉 Accountability + support need to be woven in to help you achieve them + make them a true lifestyle change.
