Adela graduated from Veterinary and Pharmaceutical University Brno, Czech Republic in 2003. She has been working as an equine vet since 2007, founding her own Equine practice East Kent Equine in 2014. Her main interest has always been in equine lameness investigation and diagnostic imaging (especially ultrasound and radiography). To improve her knowledge in this area she continued her post-gradual training under Liverpool University and achieved a RCVS recognised Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Surgery and Orthopaedics (Cert AVP ES-O) in 2010 and a RCVS recognised Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (Cert AVP VDI) in 2016. She found very frustrating that many of the lameness cases were due to altered biomechanics and back problems, which are notoriously difficult to treat by traditional veterinary medicine. This lead her to look further into "alternative" treatments and she then undertook post-gradual education in animal chiropractic with International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractics (IAVC) and following that she passed an independent clinical competency examination with International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. She then continued by further education in osteopathy and in 2021 she graduated from Vluggen Institute of osteopathy and became an Equine Osteopath EDO, shortly followed by post-gradual course in canine osteopathy. During this time she found new love for dog sports (specifically agility) and decided to deepen her knowledge of canine osteopathic techniques by attending another post-gradual course in canine osteopathy, which she completed in March 2025. The combined knowledge of traditional veterinary treatments and both chiropractic and osteopathic manual treatments enables her to offer truly integrated care for both horses and dogs.

I’m pleased to let you all know that I have successfully completed yet another post-gradual course πŸ™‚ ❀

This was an amazing course that greatly complimented my previous course in canine osteopathy (that I completed in 2022) and I have learnt loads of new additional osteopathic techniques that are not only effective, but are also really well received by the doggies.

With this in mind, I will now make time to offer canine osteopathy alongside my equine work.
Although most people consider having their dogs treated only when they are struggling to move, all dogs can benefit, as osteopathy has wide range of applications and actually works best when used earlier as a part of preventative care.

Here are some of the examples where osteopathic treatment should be considered and why:
1) Young/symptoms free dogs:
β€”> by addressing restrictions in joints and myofascial tissues we can improve posture and biomechanics resulting in improved performance (sport dogs) and preventing future lameness by optimising movement patterns
2) Dogs with orthopaedic problems
β€”> improving joint mobility decreases pain and improves movement
3) Dogs with medical problems
β€”> improving blood flow and lymphatic drainage contributes to faster healing
4) Dogs recovering from surgeries & scar treatment
β€”> promoting faster healing and prevention of excessive scar development; restoring mobility of the tissues for old scars

So, if you’d like to get your dog checked & treated, please don’t hesitate to get in touch either on here or texting me on 07572 661403.
