CPG Therapy and Well-being Support

CPG Therapy and Well-being Support Hypnotherapy and well-being support for individuals privately and in the workplace. Hi, I'm Sarah. Best wishes,
Sarah

I'm a qualified hypnotherapist and a Well-being Support Worker. I'm here to help people work through their worries using hypnotherapy or providing wellbeing support. Whether you're facing tough times or want to make positive changes in your life, hypnotherapy can help with many different things. I have 20 years of experience as a family support worker, helping children and families improve their well-being. I believe that feeling good in life is important for everything—from your health and relationships to your job and home life. When one of these areas is out of balance, it can affect your peace of mind. This is why I wish to continue you using my skills and knowledge, to continue supporting people in the workplace with their well-being worries or experiences. In my previous job, I offered advice, listened with care, and built trusted relationships so people could open up about their concerns. If I couldn't provide the exact help they needed, I would guide them to the right services and support, like making referrals or going to appointments. I'm passionate about helping others reach their goals, grow, and feel positive. I’m here to support you on your journey towards feeling better and achieving success. I love meeting new people, listening to their stories, and offering help wherever I can. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, being outdoors, listening to music, and spending time with my family and friends. I hope I can be the right person to support you through hypnotherapy and/or well-being services. Feel free to explore my website or my Facebook business page and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

🌿 Offering, Receiving & Asking for Support 🌿

Last week, I found myself needing to do all three — offer support, receive support, and ask for support.
If I’m honest, the hardest part wasn’t being there for my family — it was asking for support myself.

Support comes in many forms — a kind word, a listening ear, a gentle nudge when we need it most.

Many of us are comfortable offering support to others. We do it naturally — we care, we listen, we help. But when it comes to receiving support, or even more so, asking for it, that can feel much harder.

It might bring feelings of vulnerability, guilt, or fear of being a burden. Yet asking for support is one of the bravest and kindest things we can do for ourselves. It’s an act of self-awareness — a way of saying, “I matter too.”
Support isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a reminder of our shared humanity. We all need a space to be heard, to be held, and to feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on for us.

So today, whether you’re offering support or learning to receive it — please remember to be kind to yourself in the process. You’re doing your best, and that’s enough. 💚

If you would like support on your own journey, please feel free to get in touch — I’d love to hear from you.

I’ve found myself recently having conversations around loss—and gently pointing out to people that what they’re experiencing is actually grief.

Grief isn’t just about death.

It can also show up when we lose something we thought we’d always have.

💔 A relationship ending
💔 A job that gave us purpose
💔 A version of ourselves we no longer recognise
💔 A friendship that quietly faded
💔 A future we imagined that never came to be

These kinds of losses can be just as painful, confusing, and valid. But because they’re not always talked about in the same way, people often carry them quietly—unsure if they’re “allowed” to grieve.

Over the past couple of days, I’ve caught myself speaking about my previous job—and it hit me that I’m still grieving that loss too.

I loved what I did, and I believed deeply in the impact I was making. Even though I know that the change in my career path was the right one (and one I’m proud of), I still miss that role—and the sense of identity it gave me.

Grief, in this way, can be quiet and unexpected. It can sit with us even when we feel sure about the choices we've made.

As a therapist, I often remind people: grief is the natural response to loss. Any loss.

If you’re feeling sadness, anger, confusion, or even numbness after a change in your life—it doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re human.

Grief doesn’t follow a neat timeline, and it doesn’t always look how we expect. But it does deserve space, compassion, and support.

If this resonates with you, feel free to share your thoughts—or reach out. I’m here if you’d like to talk. 💬

It’s been such a lovely week so far, and I just wanted to share a little update. ❤️

On Monday, I had the chance to attend the Screenpop Entrepreneurs Expo in Nottingham. It was truly inspiring to meet other professionals, hear about their personal and professional journeys, and connect on a genuine level. The event was really interactive – each table had something fun to do, which made it so much easier to relax, chat, and enjoy the experience. It was a great reminder that work can – and should – include fun and connection.

On Tuesday, I went to my first Long Eaton Screenpop group meeting (I’m now a member!). What a lovely bunch of people. The atmosphere was relaxed and supportive – everyone just genuinely wanting to see each other do well. If you’re curious about joining us sometime, please let me know – we’d love to have you.

Later that day, I spent the afternoon at the Lilian Prime MS Centre, (Ade Litherland) where I’ve now started offering weekly Hypnotherapy and Talking Therapy sessions. If you’ve ever been, you’ll know how calm and welcoming the space is. It honestly feels like a little haven – the kind of place where it’s easy to settle in and just be. Staff and service users are so lovely, they welcome new visitors!

On Wednesday, I finally got to meet Matt Kelly – we’ve been trying to catch up for a while! He’s such a genuine, kind person. We had a great chat over coffee about life, work, and how our paths have evolved. If you’re ever in need of graphic design support, definitely check him out – I highly recommend his work.

I’ve also welcomed some new clients this week and started shaping their therapy journeys, which always feels so special. And after a bit of settling in, I’m really starting to feel at home in the new office too. 🏠

It’s been a fulfilling week full of connection, inspiration, and positive steps forward. I hope your week has been kind to you as well, and if you ever fancy a coffee and share your business/personal journey, send me a message. would love to meet you or have a catch-up.

🌟 Hi everyone! I haven’t posted much recently, it’s been a busy few weeks at CPG, filled with networking and reconnecting. A huge thank you to Nikki Hall , Sarah-Jane, and Fiona for your support and wonderful catch-ups!

There are exciting plans brewing with the Prime MS Centre- watch this space and I recently had the joy of delivering a workshop titled “Let’s Talk about Wellbeing in a Nutshell” for a new local business. ☺️

I've been part of some amazing Resilience Training led by Wendy McCristal MSc CEng CErgHF at The Mental Wealth Company Ltd. It was inspiring to see everyone's passion in the room, and as always, Wendy delivered the course brilliantly!

I’ve also been honored to support my clients through Hypnotherapy and talking therapy services, witnessing their incredible journeys firsthand.

Additionally, I attended a workshop on supporting children with anxiety, which will be invaluable in my practice as I support individuals and families in the workplace.

I had an enlightening conversation with Helen B at Harmless about their vital services focused on mental health and su***de prevention/postvention and I’m looking forward to echoing their messages in my own work.

On a personal note, I’ve been supporting my own children as they navigate new chapters in their lives with school and college. We also took some time to declutter our home, which has a calming effect on my wellbeing. Plus those walks in nature have been a breath of fresh air!

It’s been a whirlwind, but every moment has been worthwhile. I’ve learned so much about myself and how to better support others.

Remember, every day is a school day! 😊

Hello everyone, apologises for being quiet on here for some time. It’s been a busy couple of weeks at CPG. And I’ll share all the positive news with you later this week.

Here is a share from Hypnotherapy Society, a little exercise to help you take part in mindfulness. If you like this exercise and would like a relaxation session or discuss hypnotherapy treatments, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Sarah ☺️

Welcome to this week's .

It’s time to take a step back from the noise of the world and return to yourself, even just for a few minutes.

Take a long breath in. Let it fill your chest. Exhale slowly, and let your body settle with the weight of stillness.

Imagine standing on the side of a quiet mountain. The air is crisp. The landscape stretches out in all directions. You feel a gentle breeze and the ground beneath your feet.

You begin a slow, mindful walk along the mountain. There’s nothing to chase. You are exactly where you need to be.

Bring to mind something that’s been causing tension or unease. Imagine placing it gently on a nearby stone. The mountain holds it for you with no judgement, just stillness.

Take one final, deep breath and notice how your chest opens, your feet root, and your mind clears.

Thank you for joining us in this quiet reflection.

How do you cope when you’re ill?

I’ve been quiet the past couple of weeks — I caught a virus that turned into tonsillitis 😷
Not ideal when you're a therapist (and hypnotherapist!) who relies on their voice.

It hit hard. I hadn’t been ill since going self-employed, and suddenly everything felt overwhelming — clients, meetings, being a single mum with two kids starting new schools. The guilt kicked in too… guilt for needing rest, for cancelling plans, for not being able to do the things we’d looked forward to.

But I had to pause.
Take a breath.
Be kind to myself.

I rescheduled what I could, made space to rest (as much as possible!), and talked openly with my kids about the change of plans.

It made me think — why do we feel so much guilt when we’re unwell, even when it’s out of our control?

So I’m asking:
When you’re ill, what emotions come up for you?
How do you manage work, rest, and everything in between?

Let’s talk about it — because it’s something so many of us feel, but rarely share 💬

Workplace Wellbeing: It Should Support Everyone — Including Leaders

Wellbeing at work is more than just an initiative — it's a culture. And for it to be truly effective, it needs to reach every level of an organisation.

Too often, the focus is on supporting teams, which is essential — but let’s not forget that leaders, managers, and business owners are human too. They also experience stress, self-doubt, and burnout. They also need space to rest, reflect, and receive support.

✅ Real wellbeing in the workplace means everyone feels seen and supported.
✅ It means leaders are encouraged to model balance, not just talk about it.
✅ It means creating an environment where vulnerability isn't a weakness, but a strength.

In my work as a therapist and wellbeing advisor, I’ve seen how powerful it is when organisations take a whole-person, whole-team approach. It creates more trust, more engagement, and more resilience — across the board.

Let’s build workplaces where everyone’s wellbeing matters — not just in theory, but in practice.

How is your organisation making space for this? I'd love to hear what's working — and what you’re still striving for.

Bank Holiday Weekend Incoming ☀️

As we head into the long weekend, I’ve been thinking about how powerful an extra day can be — whether it’s for catching up, slowing down, or simply breathing a little more deeply.

Rest can be hard to prioritise in our busy lives, but it’s so important. Taking time to pause isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity for our wellbeing.

So here’s a gentle reminder: rest is productive too.

Whether you’re working, resting, or doing a bit of both — I hope you find a moment this weekend that feels good for you.

🌿 How will you be spending the extra day?
Getting ahead on tasks, relaxing, seeing loved ones, or something else entirely?

Wishing you a calm and restorative bank holiday, whatever it looks like.
