Beltane — May 1st 🔥🌿
As this fire festival approaches and the sun shines. It's another turning of the wheel, where the land exhales into life.

Beltane sits at the threshold between spring and summer, when the days stretch longer, blossoms open wider, and the earth feels… awake. Rooted in old Celtic lands, it is a fire festival of growth, fertility, passion, and possibility — a time when energy doesn’t whisper, it rises.

Traditionally, fires were lit on hilltops, cattle were passed between them for protection, and people gathered to honour the union of earth and sky, seed and soil, intention and action. It’s a night of movement, of becoming, of stepping forward.

Here are ways to mark Beltane at home, in your own rhythm:

• Light a flame with intention 🔥
Let a candle become your Beltane fire. As you light it, think about what you want to grow — not just wish for, but truly tend. Speak it aloud if you can. Fire listens differently than silence.

• Create a small “growth altar” 🌿
Gather what’s living right now — flowers, leaves, herbs, even a bowl of soil. Place it somewhere visible as a quiet reflection of what’s blooming in your life, or what you’re ready to call in.

• Step outside and connect 🌸
Even a few minutes matters. Bare feet on grass, hands on a tree, face turned to the sky. Beltane is about connection to the living world — let yourself be part of it.

• Make something with your hands 🕯️
Braid ribbon, tie a thread around your wrist, press herbs into paper, or blend a simple oil. The act of making anchors intention into something real.

• Write and burn 🔥
Write down what you’re stepping into — or what you’re leaving behind to make space for it. Safely burn the paper and watch it transform. Simple, old, and powerful.

• Share food with meaning 🍓
Eat something fresh, seasonal, colourful. Let it be a small celebration of nourishment, growth, and the turning season.

• Honour desire and joy 💫
Beltane carries a strong current of passion — not just romantic, but creative, personal, alive. Ask yourself: what excites me? What do I want more of? Let it have space.

• Make a quiet promise 🌙
Before the day ends, choose one small action you will take toward what you want to grow. Beltane isn’t just about feeling — it’s about beginning.

Even in the simplest ways — a candle lit, a moment outside, a quiet promise — Beltane can be felt.

There’s a certain electricity in the air at this time…
like the world is leaning in, asking what you’re willing to begin.
