Things that have happened since I taught my last yoga class:⁣


°Qualified as a GP⁣
°Had baby Cian🥰⁣
°Moved house and country⁣
°Finished my dermatology diploma⁣
°Had a full night's sleep. LOL ONLY JOKING, see second point⁣


I am so excited to get back into teaching yoga. I loved teaching in Brighton and having experience with outdoor yoga on the beach and in the park, teaching over 65s, workplace based chair yoga and teaching yoga at the hospice. I'm looking forward to teaching in my new old place ❤️

(UTKATASANA) Meaning= fierce, powerful⁣


Benefits:⁣
•Strengthens lower limbs from the glutes to the ankles⁣
•Strengthens spine⁣
•Can reduce flat feet⁣
•Opens the chest and heart⁣


Options:⁣
•Beginners can try this pose near a wall. Tailbone touches wall which supports the balance⁣
•Squeeze a block or book between the thighs to make the thighs work harder⁣
•Turn it into a twist by bringing palms to prayer position and resting outer edge of elbows on the outer thigh. Repeat on both sides⁣


Cautions:⁣
•Not advised if you have low blood pressure or headache⁣

I taught my last "Slow Sunday yoga with jazz" this morning. It has been such a gift to teach this class. I have been doing this class since May via zoom. It has been so lovely to have friends and family join in from to ! It was also so lovely to have people from my pre-lockdown class in join in.⁣

I am definitely a big fan of online yoga but I am also really looking forward to teaching more in person classes in the next few months⁣
