One of the most rewarding cases! This patient came to us unhappy with her canines which she felt were very prominent.

Her gums needed some TLC and she followed our oral hygiene advice perfectly leading to them becoming so much more healthy!

We then carried out Invisalign to bring the lateral incisors into line, and correct the crowding. Then some composite bonding on the small lateral incisors to bring harmony to her smile โœจ

The patient is delighted, and so are we!

As a born people pleaser it really has been a long hard journey to learn that despite all my efforts not everything is within my control!

This patient attends every check up appointment with new cavities ๐Ÿ˜“. Cavities are caused by high frequency of sugar in the diet, poor oral hygiene and poor quality/quantity of saliva also plays a part. Believe me when I say we have tried ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜†๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด here.

Yet here we are, more new cavities! There has to come a point where as a clinician you have the realisation that โœจ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐œ๐š๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐ž ๐š๐›๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐š ๐ฉ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญโ€™๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐›๐ž๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฒ ๐œ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐š๐›๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ข๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ž๐ฌ โœจ

Be empathetic. Educate them as clearly and as thoroughly as you can. Then trust that theyโ€™ll carry the knowledge with them and use it!
