Emotional regulation is a foundational skill for living a balanced and fulfilling life. It enables you to respond rather than react, strengthen relationships, and build resilience to challenges. Developing this skill is not about suppressing emotions but learning to navigate them with intention and self-awareness.

Breaking codependency is a gradual process that often involves unlearning deeply ingrained patterns. Through small, consistent steps and a commitment to self-growth, you can build healthier relationships based on mutual respect and autonomy.

Breaking codependency patterns is beneficial because it leads to healthier relationships, healthy self-esteem, and improved emotional well-being.

By breaking out of codependency, individuals can experience greater freedom, satisfaction, and stability in both their personal and interpersonal lives. This transformation leads to more fulfilling relationships and a stronger, healthier sense of self.

The roots of codependency often lie in early life experiences and unresolved emotional issues. Codependency typically develops as a coping mechanism for unmet emotional needs, and the behaviours associated with it can serve as a way to gain love, security, or acceptance.

Understanding these root causes can be a valuable step in breaking free from codependent patterns. Therapy, self-reflection, and learning to address unmet emotional needs in healthy ways can help individuals develop a stronger sense of self and build relationships that are based on mutual respect, independence, and healthy boundaries.

The key is to create a sense of safety within and trust yourself despite the dissatisfaction that can be expressed by other people.

Codependency is often seen in relationships where one person struggles with addiction, mental health issues, or other challenges that require support.

However, it can occur in any type of relationship, including friendships and family relationships. Recovery from codependency often involves building self-esteem, learning to set boundaries, and developing independence, a sense of self and self-compassion.

Sometimes we misunderstand the concept and aim to cut off any support/care to others. We are wired for connection and need to connect with other people in our lives. Codependency becomes an issue when we SACRIFICE ourselves to satisfy other's needs.

When boundaries are crossed, it’s important to address the situation with care to restore respect and maintain your well-being.

Take a moment to acknowledge how you feel. Common reactions might include anger, frustration, or hurt. Understanding your emotions will help you respond thoughtfully, rather than reacting impulsively.

Assess the context. Was the boundary crossed accidentally, or was it done intentionally? The answer will help you determine how to address it.

Once you’ve reflected on your feelings, communicate with the person who crossed the boundary. Use assertive but calm language to express what happened and how you feel about it.

Re-establish your boundary by clearly restating it. Let the other person know what you need from them in the future to prevent further crossing of your boundary.

Boundaries can be categorized in various ways depending on the context—whether in personal relationships, work settings, or self-care.

By recognizing and setting these different types of boundaries, you can create more balanced, respectful, and healthy relationships in every aspect of life.

Remember, your peace and well-being are more important than other people's disapproval of you. Do not lose your Authenticity for connection.

Boundaries are the foundation of healthy relationships and self-care. They protect your energy, nurture your mental health, and create space for growth.

Remember: saying 'no' is not selfish—it's an act of self-respect.

Boundaries aren’t walls—they’re bridges to healthier relationships and a more balanced life. 🌿 Setting boundaries empowers you to prioritize your well-being without guilt.

Protect your peace, honour your needs, and watch how your mental health thrives. 💪✨

Hi, my name is Renata Juraske and I am an Integrative Counsellor and CBT Practitioner.

I offer online counselling and coaching sessions.

I have worked with people from various backgrounds for the past 6 years.
It is my pleasure to offer guidance and education around important areas of people's lives and bring the sense of relief they desire. That's what we all really want: TO FEEL BETTER!

I believe that most of the discomfort we feel is due to disconnection from who we truly are. I am here to help you reconnect with or find your values and connection with your true self.

My aim is to alleviate uncomfortable emotions by getting good at feeling them. No repression of emotions is ever going to get rid of them. To live truly satisfying and fulfilling lives, we must embrace our emotions and confidently reshape our internal narratives.

If you want to work with me, please get in touch for an assessment session via mindcaretherapies@gmail.com or call/text +44 7511 506 115

I am eager to work with you!

Social anxiety is a fear of being judged, embarrassed, or negatively evaluated in social settings. It can make everyday interactions feel overwhelming.

But there are ways to cope! 💡 1️⃣ Practice deep breathing to calm your nerves. 2️⃣ Challenge negative thoughts and replace them with kinder ones. 3️⃣ Focus on the people around you instead of your own anxious feelings. 4️⃣ Gradually face social situations to build your confidence. 5️⃣ Seek support from friends, family, or a therapist.

Remember, it's okay to take small steps toward overcoming social anxiety. You're stronger than you think!
